    Default BRP RT drivers backrest

I purchased and installed this backrest on my 2015 RTL, only to find out that it pushes me to far forward, I could not get used to it, took it off after only a couple of rides, the wife is now my backrest... Asking $350 plus $25 shipping. PayPal is OK.

utopia makes a 1" setback bracket for their backrest. i had the same problem
till i installed that on my utopia. if you find you still want a b/rest, there
might be a solution for you. good luck on your sale--irv

IMHO, part of the issue with the BRP backrest is HOW THICK it is ....compared to the Utopia.......Considering the amount of pressure the operator exerts on the backrest ( very little ) it doesn't need to be very thick to be effective and comfortable ........Mike

I think Mike might be right, adjustable would only move a thick backrest back into precious passenger space. Considering other options.

When I got my backrest: it also pushed me too far forward
I added the adjustable bracketry to mine at SpyderFest.
    (Well... Brentc did! )
Comfort problems were solved; I just remove it, when riding double...

Like you I tried to sell my BRP Backrest after I purchased an Ultimate Tall Boy seat, and it seems like no one wants it.

Before you give up, have you tried placing washers on the mounting bracket under the seat to angle the support brackets back a little. I did that and found it much more comfortable and tolerable. Worth a try if you haven't purchased something different.

Somewhere on this SL site, someone posted a thread about adjusting it...I followed it and it was fairly simple to make the adjustment. The hardest part is simply removing the seat to do the dang task.

Thanks Brian, going commando for now (no back rest) as we always ride together. More room for her and me.
