I am 5'8" and I bought a Blue Ridge windshield. BIG MISTAKE!! Lots of helmet buffering!!

Whatever type of windshield you get, if possible test one before buying or make sure the company has a return policy.

    Default Madstad

My vote is for Madstad, Dark Gray, it looks sweet and works great! I really like the adjust ability of this windshield, it lets you dial it in without having to modify anything like I have had to do on bikes in the past. I went with the size that Madstad's measuring method suggested but ended up going taller (from 16" to 18"). I couldn't be happier

I like my Madstad windshield. They will let you return for a different size which is what I did. I needed to go wider so I sent mine back. However, if you go wider you can't return. I got the bronze and it is awesome! Good luck.

The Madstrad looks like the brackets extend half way up the shield! Do you notice it?

I have a 2016 F3 Ltd, with what I think is the Blue Ridge windshield (strange forward curve near the top), and love it. I am about 5' 8", and discovered with previous owned RTs, that I prefer looking over the shield, not through it. I found myself riding with an F4 windshield as low as it would go virtually all the time. BUT that also greatly increased wind noise and buffiting.

I believe that the helmet is the key. The more a helmet reduces air noise the less buffeting you will experience. That has certainly worked for me. Shuberth, Shoei, and probably others have helmets that do a great job at reducing air noise and thus buffeting. I wear a Shoei GT Air, and can turn down my music, enjoy a quieter ride, without any buffeting whatsoever.

    Good luck

    Default Windshield

I just had the dealer put the Blue Ridge windshield on my 2015 R3. I see someone complained of "buffeting." That doesn't bother me and i expect wind to hit my helmet. The windshield is not tall and I like being able to look over it. The curve at the top is designed for air flow. The windshield does what I want it to do.....keeps wind from hitting me directly the chest. I'm 5'11". I'm not an expert, but I have been riding various motorcycles since 1978.

I just removed the stock Windshield on my 2016 F3 LTD Special and replaced with the BRP Tall Boy. Fits Perfect took 30 minutes or less and looks like it belongs.
For sure blocks some of the wind and makes the ride even nicer if possible.

Default Blue Ridge windshield for sale

I have a Blue Ridge windshield that I bought new for $400 and will sell for $225 plus shipping. I didn't have any problems with it at all but just decided to go with a different windshield.

That's a great start to becoming affordable, but it's still up on the mountain.

The F3 LTD is not the Same as the F3-S. I went with the Blueridge for my F3-S and put a x-creen extension on it that is adjustable. Some of the after market windshields are nice but to big for me and usually the brackets are butt ugly. You will have to look at all to figure out what you like best.

Which BR windshield did you buy? How tall are you? How far above the instrument cluster does the windshield extend to?

    Default Madstad

I put the Madstad on mine. I am 5' 10" and went with the short one in the lightest grey. Had it about a month and it is working great.

I am 5'4". There is only one Blue Ridge for the F3. I added the x-creen Tour and that gives you another 1 or 6 inches depending on how you adjust it.

What is the X-creen Tour? I didn't see anything on the BRP site.
