Four Corners - WIND!!
Rode from Billings, MT to Wallace, ID today. We started out in wind gusts from 30-40 as we left a rest area where we were talking with 6 goldwing riders we heard the wind gusts were even worse higher up. We pushed on only averaging between 45-50mph - slow going but finally after cresting the mountains the wind gusts subsided and the Ryding was easier.
We saw five elk down in a river cooling off (it was too cold for us - mid 60s bbbrrrrrr).
Wallace is an interesting little town lots of history - Wallace is the only community in the country where the entire town is a protected historic district, also the birthplace of Lana Turner.
Tomorrow we'll be at out third corner: Blaine, Washington.

As of right now we'll check in at the fourth corner tomorrow with total days 20!!
Blaine, WA was beautiful. We stayed at the Semiahmoo Resort & Spa, a treat to us.
We sure needed it - coming through California on 395 our RTs were reading 113! A little warm.
We have seen some fantastic sites on our trip - elk, a bald eagle circling over us, beaver, antelope. The biggie was while sweltering down on the pavement there was snow on top of the mountains, geez.
We have also seen numerous Spyders - most back east but there was a small group we spied in Reno.
