    Default F3?

I am thinking of trading my 2011 RT-S for the F3 Limited. Are there any heat issues from the engine burning your legs?

    Thank you.

No, not like other models, however on very hot days, in stop and go traffic you will feel the heat coming up off the pavement and the engine.

Compared to the Vee-Twins: there's virtually no heat at all from them!

I have a F3S and live in New Mexico. My daily commute is 70 miles and it has been 100+ degrees here. My left foot gets hot, but not as bad as with the RSS. My left foot faces the sun and it could be from that and the heat from the pavement, but it's not being blown on it.

    Default Funny you ask that...

I have a 2016 F3 Limited. I took delivery on June 4th and have 1300 miles on it. These are all fun miles. I do not commute on my Spyder.

I do feel heat on my feet on both sides. Not enough to be a concern, but enough to notice. Although, I do wear long pants and boots. I came off of a 2014 RT Limited and had no heat issues so this is unusual.

    It is a little disappointing.

As much as I like my F3 Limited, it's no RT Limited. Still getting used to that.

Just got my 2016 F3 Limited. It's been No less than 100F and up to 123F . With shorts on, I only feel even heat that is not any concern. Took it one early morning in the cool mountains and still with shorts....it is just plain Nice.

I have a 2015 F3S it is the only spyder I have owned and my 13th motorcycle in 36 yrs.
I have complained about the heat since month one, with dealer and BRP, all say there is
no problem just the fans doing there job and the wind blowing the heat back onto your
legs. But when I pull my key out and the tech felt how hot it was he was stunned but nothing
    was ever done.
I still ride it because I love the ride but the heat does still bother me.
The only other bike I owned that produced heat that bothered me was 2004 HD RoadKing,
And only when riding in stop and go traffic.

Some say no heat issues, wish I was that lucky.

I have 14k miles since January 28th of 2015 so I ride whenever I can, some here have more seat time some have less so take my information for what is.

    Wow.

Just curious, what is the story with the key getting hot?
