    Default Mustang Seats on F3T

Looking for opinions, pros and cons of the Mustang Seat on the F3T? Picked up my F3L Friday and after 500 miles, I'm considering some creature comfort changes.

    & on your new F3L!!

I have an F3T and would consider a Mustang seat, just based on a test-sit on one they had displayed on an RT at SpyderFest. But I'd also like to know if anyone has any high-mileage experience on one.

    Default Mustang Seats

There's an older couple I met at Spyderfest 2013 who each rode an RT and carried their dogs in pet carriers on the back seat. You may have met them, too. I've seen and talked with them every year. If I remember right, they're from the Carolina's.

This year, they were both on F3 Limiteds and they no longer carry their dogs with them. Downsizing?

They also have Mustang seats on them. Not only do they like their F3 Limiteds, they like their Mustang seats.

    That's all I have.

    163 days and counting.

Bought a Mustang seat for my 16 f3t Ltd at spyderfest and a sheepskin seat pad. I did 710 miles on Saturday going back to Ga. Seat felt good. I had ultimate seats on my Rt but not available for f3. I also had wind wings installed and these and seat helped on the long day ride with several hundred miles in light rain. Only complaint is Pitbull has not shipped my old seat to me. Age 74 for age to seat data.

That's the kind of information I was looking for. I've had Mustang seats on my Harleys since 1999. I know the quality but wanted to hear folk's experience with the F3. 710 miles is a great days ride.

I was worried about the fit. The F3Limited is 2 piece seat. Mustang is a one piece seat. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

The seat is one piece with a strong pan. I got the backrest. Fit is excellent with control from key as with stock . I have a Corbin on Honda sport tourer, I like the Mustang for MY butt.

I cannot speak to how the Mustang seat works on an F3.

I have had a couple Mustang seats on bikes back in the two wheeler days. Both were considered to be improvements over the OEM configurations.

Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

    Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)

MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles

IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

I like the stock seat on my F3 Ltd SS. Noticed a little bit of discomfort after a really long day of riding. Bought padded bicycle shorts off amazon and a week vacation of riding hundreds of miles a day for almost a week and I felt fine. $14 pair of shorts so far does the trick for me. I love mustang seats, had one on my victory kingpin, but saving the $700 or more made my ass feel even better.
