    Default Handlebar RAM mount.

I'm trying to find a good RAM mount to fit on the stock handlebars of an 08 GS SE5. I've seen one on eBay that looks like it clips to side of the center mount. I'm looking for something that bolts on and is cheaper. Does anyone have any suggestions, or pictures of what they use?

Here is what I've seen on E-bay.

    Default Possible alternative

I know this isn't what you're asking for, but just as an alternative, I have an older Nuvi 550 that I had mounted with a Ram handlebar mount on a 2-wheeler. I didn't want to shell out the bucks for a built-in GPS for my new/old 2012 RT, so I tried the RAM suction mount, which lets me re-use the rest of the original RAM setup. It attaches very firmly to the glove box cover and doesn't move at all. I haven't found the best angle yet, and it's not in the ideal central high position for viewing, but it works for the occasional glance, etc., that is what I generally need. It's a quick and dirty fix for now, at least, and very cheap and easy. I don't know if you have a glove box, but it will fit on any flat, smooth surface about 2-3 inches wide (I can't check the exact width right now, but it should be on the description). I got it on Amazon. FWIW.
    2012 RTS SE5 purchased 4/26/2016 with 15,273 miles. (Bellatrix)

I'll look and see if I can find one I like on the Ram website.
    Thanks

    This is what I did:

Chupaca had already done this with a standard RAM mount which gave me the idea. I just used the RAM mount that came with my GPS instead, it was designed to mount to motorcycle bars but I just added spacers and bolted it to the plastic as shown.

I've seen those mounts, and I could do that also! Thanks for the idea.

Everything Lamonster sells are for the newer style handle bars, not for the older style like I have.

on my 2009 I used the handle bar " u " clamp and put it through the right side vent ( throttle) then I played with the angle. I have a TERRBILE picture I can put up that might help.

Please forgive me because I went to my buddies Harley dealer to get this Ram Mount, I think I paid like $50.00

Is there enough room to still put in a 12 adapter? That's what I was planning on putting in that location.

You didn't say how much cheaper you were looking for.

Quick search on Ebay I found it $80 cheaper:
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_nk...p2047675.m4100

Then I searched for it on Google and led me to even cheaper on Amazon:
    http://www.amazon.com/Can-Am-2194003.../dp/B00ARC6KQE

I saw a Techmount for the RT so did a little more searching and found this:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007AM1PXW

NOTE: I make no guarantee on compatibility, just did a couple of quick searches.
