I currently own a 2013 RSS SE5 with 3,300 miles and I found a 2015 F3 S SE6 for sale and I was thinking is it worth trading up at this point or should I hold off, I can get the F3 for 13,500 and it has a backrest, windshield with 1,000 miles?
Good question...
The F3-S will feel World's apart from your RSS. Are you prepared for that?
The price seems awesome, and it's certainly worth a close look.
Happy Shopping, and Good luck!
I really like my F3S, but then again it is my first Spyder. I am tall and the F3's cruiser style feet forward position seemed best for me.
My footpegs are in the most forward position and I could still use a little more room.
This will be my 4th Spyder, I had a 2008 GS SM 5, 2013 RTS SE 5, 2013 RSS SE 5. I have gone foe a test ride at the dealership about a year ago, I just need to think this over because I know how hard it is to sell a used Spyder.

is that price of the F3 with your RS as a trade? How many miles on the F3. That is a steel if that is a brand new F3. Even used thats a great deal, if no trade is involved. If that is with the trade. That seems fair. I traded my 2012 RS SE5 with 14k miles for 10,000,. The dealer gave me a great trade value and a great F3 price, I could not pass it up. I loved my RS and I now love my F3. Yes, Spyders are very hard to sell on your own.

that's a great deal for that bike. if you are going to do it do it with that because if you miss that deal you aren't going to find it again. over Christmas I found a barely used F3S for sale with all the xtras for cheap, decided to wait till after the holidays, and it was gone as well as anything close to that price . ended up buying a new one that was significantly more $$.
It's all in the test ryde and how much you like your RSS. I love my RS and would not change it for any other model. It is a great deal and with the low milage on your RSS you should get a good deal for it at this time. Choices....

it is being sold by an individual for 13,500, no trade, 1,000 miles
I don't feel comfortable meeting someone that I have never meet having all that cash, I do pack everywhere I can, I have not seen the F3 S in person just pictures.

If the seller is legitimate, Have him meet you in a public parking lot to check out the bike and the ownership paperwork. As Blueknight said, a police station or township building is a great place! That way you can get a feel for the seller. If you decide to purchase it, tell him you will meet him the next day at a title transfer business so the transaction can be finalized legally.
Even if you have a side arm, you don't want to get into a situation where you have to pull it out when there are easy ways to eliminate the risk.

The price you quote seems very reasonable.

If you need more room, you might want to look at my F3 DLX Seal Floorboards. They have a TON of room to stretch out. Getting on an off is also much easier....
