Traffic sucks, my prayers go out to the rider, family and friends.
Three in the garage, and I think I can fit at least one more in.....and then we will have to build another garage.
The roads in NY are so bad that I am glad we bought a Ryker Rally
Just sayin'............

prayers for him and his family. i would like to know how this happened. was he a new rider, was he new to spyders. the reason i ask is because i really feel the handbrake should be a option on the bike. after i got my first spyder, i put the handbrake on it because i would forget to hit the foot brake. that could be the reason it looks like he hit the suv so hard.

Hi cuznjohn,
Re: i would like to know how this happened.
From the written portion of the link, he rear-ended a SUV.
From the video newscast in the link, it showed two other Spyders at the scene.
Possibly too much speed; just speculating,

I hate to say anything bad, but usually rear ending a vehicle of any kind is a result of being too close or not paying attention to your surroundings or being distracted. Group rides are cool, and a lot of fun but they can be dangerous because you tend to be distracted by your friends and sometimes looking out for their actions in the rear view mirrors. Just speculation, but I have a feeling he was doing something aggressive and was distracted for a second, which put him into trouble. May God comfort his soul and his family's hearts...and his friend's minds for seeing and being a part of such a horrific accident.
