How about if somebody shoots a video of them in a side-by-side flame-fest?

Thermal “Air Flux Cooling”... Is this done with a Flux Capacitor? When will I be when I land? Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Is there a big difference between the original and the LEDs?

How about out an installation video as well. In the interest of time, perhaps just the install into the headlamp housing and the wire connections. I think most on the forum know no matter what you do on a spyder a lot of Tupperware needs to come off. Thanks!

If you are talking about a 9005 Halogen vs. a 4000 Lumen LED ......their will be a BIG difference ....especially in the color......The OEM is yellow the LED is White...........and the Halogen isn't even close to 4000 Lumen's, maybe 2500.............plus the LED uses about 1/4 or less of the power than the OEM.........Mike

If these put out quality beams at 4000 lumens they will be bright. That's 8000 lumens total for a pair of headlamps.

My setup is 3200 per bulb so 6400 lumens for a pair of headlights. I also run 3200 lumens per fog light so 12800 lumens all up.

The TricLeds per Tricled thier headlamps are 2880 lumens, I would guess the foglights are the same, so a pair of headlights would come in at 5760 lumens and 11520 for all 4 when lit.

Last I read, xenon depot bulbs were 2500 lumens, so 5000 lumens on a set of headlamps and 10000 total for all up.

Often people say it is not about lumens but about the quality of light given off. This is absolutely true. A very high quality LED with less lumens can be a better light than a higher rated led.

If the lumens are high and the quality is excellent, this provides the best setup.

Lumens do matter but are not always the holy grail, but consider lumens is sort of like watts from a home incandescent bulb. More watts is brighter.

With 12800 total lumens for us, when lit and with purpose designed high performance LEDs, it is pretty intimidating to see coming at you.

Personally, I think a coal miners candle on a headstrap is brighter than oem. Around here I never felt comfortable at speed with oem bulbs.

Another +1 for an install video, or at least instructions.

I really like the idea of replacing the headlights, but need to make sure that it's within my ability.

    Thanks! -Fratz

The wire connectors should be plug and play. I heard some TricLed buyers had to swap the wires / polarity. I guess from what I read they stated Can Am had wired the Spyder incorrectly.

On an RT, as for how to do the mechanical part, remove the mirrors, remove wind deflectors, remove small access panels, remove side panel body work, remove headlight surround bodywork, remove headlight aiming cable nuts, remove headlight, install LED kit. Reverse order to reinstall.

Lamont will need to explain how or if these LEDs need the actual bulbs aimed since these have adjustments.

If done correctly prior to the LED install, the headlight aiming should not change.

I'll be working on the F3 video next but here's the RT short version. If you can't remove the panels yourself then you might not want to try and install these yourself either.

Just curious.. Is this what you have to do just to change a burnt out headlight with a standard bulb? All that has to come off ?? I hope my headlight never goes out.

Yes it is but it's not as bad as it looks. The whole job could be done in 1.5 to 2.0 hours.
