    Default Burp wanted company

I got Burp right after Spyderfest 2012. We made the next three, 13, 14, and 15. I made the decision not to go this year so that when I retire, I'll get a bigger chunk, (minus taxes) to start with. Burp had other plans, when he found out that he wasn't going to be able to go, he decided to break, so that he's spending the week in the shop with other Spyders, while I keep working. Hope ya'll are having a good time!

Isn't it always the way... We get these Spyders, we nurture them, pamper them, farkle them with all the bells & whistles their little hearts could desire, spend money on them left right & centre, but if we ever decide that we can't really afford to go on just one leeetle trip with all the other Spyders, they chuck a temper tantrum dummy spit!!

And you thought that all your kids had left home & you were gonna lead a peaceful retirement without all the angst & worry they bring with them!!

Isn't that an FFG not CG-57??

I was thinking FFG-57 USS Reuben James - I think I saw that particular FFG get commissioned, March(?) '86(?)

Yep, Reuben James, commissioned in March 86 in Long Beach, pre comm crew.
Decommed in July 2013 in Honolulu, not part of the crew, but I went to see it happen.
Navy sank it a couple months ago as part of SM6 test.
