so now that i am sitting at a normal keyboard will fill in all the details.. after the dealer did all they could do. BRP sent down from Canada their product specialist on the spyder. Eric, handles every issues with spyders all over the world. He came to the dealer spent almost two days going over everything the dealer did ( as he finds sometimes corners are cut) in this case dealer did everything correctly every test was done properly.. . after he reran all the tests.. he then checked every wire in the main harness before replacing the main harness. all the wires tested good no electrical issues at all. Can Am has never seen this. he then took apart the airbox and thru the intake put a boroscope to the engine.. the second cyln looked like fireworks had gone off.. something metallic got in there and the photo of it looked like the inside of your eyeball with shattered blood vessels. it was very wierd as compression tests done in week two of the process and leak down tests all were at the high end of the tolerances. Note he did them also and they were the same. So verdict was new engine. One of the luckiest things was the dealer had recieved and engine for an f3 by mistake and no one on either side had gotten around to doing the paperwork to return it.. so the dealer had an engine in stock so last week the engine was installed got the bike back Friday evening put 200 miles on it today it is flawless. Shop did a great job as all my panels are custom painted etc.. and not a scratch on them.. they were concerned i call them when they opened this morning at 9 i already was out riding for a few hours.. they didnt want to pick up the phone... i just needed my headset extension cord that was attached to the plug was sitting on service managers desk

the only bad thing is that all my leds were removed by order of brp phone service guy... he told the dealer to take them all off.. i even spoke to him couldnt get it thru his head.. i never cut into the main harness made my ownr sep harness for th led's aprox 30 strips the were run off a sep fuse block all they had to do was disconnect two wires... so now i will have to rewire and reinstall all the leds sat radio and battery tender..

the contact i have a can am will talk to me next week and discuss what kind of compensation they will provide for the length of time and having to rewire the bike and replace led strips as some the circuits will be damaged as they were siliconed to the bike oh well needed a winter project But back on the road
