Most waive at me, but some don't. Who the hell cares? I ride with a pretty hard core bike club and EVERYONE waives while I'll with them. Once we split at the end of rides some (almost always Harley's) think they are too cool. Since Kindergarten was long, long ago just ignore it. We are out there to have fun and need to realize that just as with car drivers there are a lot of idiots out there on bikes.

He got blasted by some long-time two-wheeled disabled riders, for #6
On that score, this recent exchange was on a Facebook rally page after a hotel said they were happy for us to park our bikes in the bar overnight if we were staying...
I normally ride a sport bike. Before this I had a Harley. While riding the sport bike, I might not get a waive from the hard core bikers, but most still waive.
Yesterday was a nice day with lots of bikes out. I waive to everyone. If I had to estimate, maybe 10-20% waived back. My husband was on a cruiser. I asked him and nearly all waived to him. Really?!!
On my ride to NY to PA, the first bikes I came across were a pair of sport bike riders. They waved.
Since I'm used to most bikers waiving, I found this a bit disconcerting. I mean , I'll live, but why the hate?!?
What has been your experience?
Because it's very difficult to hold in the clutch, hand brake, press the start button, & pray that it starts at the same time. I would know--2003 Screaming Eagle Harley Deuce & 2014 Harley Street Glide Special---both gone from my garage--2007 turbo Hayabusa & 2015 F3's remaining. F3's curved rear seat back rest perfect for riding wife & grandson's. On the turbo busa--I'd be riding solo after full throttle.

2015 F3's , two 12 volt power outlets Orange & Black
There was a video on YouTube of a girl getting blown off the back of a supersport. Granted, my bikes have "back seats," but you can't safely put more than a tail bag on the back and even that can get tricky.
Wave to young kids on bicycles: it'll make their day!
Absolutely!! I do it every chance I get. Kids love it! I've noticed most small scooter riders don't wave. I think it may be that they are too new to the two wheeled experience or white knuckling it!
It doesn't matter which bike I on. Her Spyder or my Harlwey, I wave at 99% of the riders. miss a few. But I don't do 2 down low. I give'm 3% up high....
