    Default Lifting/jacking a Spyder F3-S

Could you guys post some pics of how you lifted or jacked up your F3? I am going to be doing some farkles in the next couple weeks and will need to jack the front end up. Would be nice to see if a motorcycle jack is able to lift the F3. I have seen some pictures of other models being lifted and jacked up, but never could find pictures of an F3. Thanks in advance.

    Default JACKING F-3

All Spyders have the same FRAME so lifting them is the same.......When you lift the front , remember it isn't very stable, it has a tendency to tip......if you only have an Auto type jack , I would either drive it up onto ramps or slowly lift it in the front under the METAL FRAME ( only ) and place blocks of wood under each tire as you go......Make sure the brakes are on.....................Mike

You just need to move the jack a little left or right to get the proper balance. Just make sure no one leans on the fenders before you have jack stands under it! We were lowering a Spyder and a friend casually leans on the fender, luckily I was on the other side and was able to steady it before it came crashing down on Joe's head.

It is . I have the Harbor freight floor jack and A stands but the craftman ATV/motorcycle lift looked sturtier and was on sale at the time.

    Default Ramps first.

Due to the really low clearance of the F3, I use car ramps first, than jack it up and put jackstands under it.

They have a model that doesn't go up that high that think would be great.

I have seen Spyders lifted multiple ways. Depends on what your trying to do. To install a swaybar a saw a dealership put a jack under the middle of the front frame area and just tilt it each way to install each side of the swaybar. It was scary to watch but it was quick and efficient.

I made up clip-ons for my bike hoist this is the best and safest way to lift and work on a Spyder

I thought that they redesigned the frame in '13 or '14 to accept the 1330 engine.

The bottom center rail is the same but with extra bits welded on, how I know is the wheel alignment gear I made for the early Spyders fits the same on the F3.
