Default Idea for extra visibility when braking.

Looking for you opinion. Bought a mini laser projector that is in a metal housing (about the size of three rolo candies end to end) and is specific for cars and motorcycles. The idea is to hook it up to you brake circuit and when it is activated it displays a pattern on the road behind you for improved visibility. Below is a picture of one of the patterns.
The question is install or not. They were only $4 a piece and seem to work very well in a darker environment. The pattern below is about 3 feet by 4 feet and gets bigger if adjusted out further.

I'd be more distracted by a light show than anything else. If they don't see the brake light, they won't see this.

    Default Very Neat...

It is pretty. Would be similar to the underbody leds used by many to make the spyder glow....

Hard call lots of foreseeable problems you would have to project it on your back in dark clothing or jacket, (&for mount a large wind drag fixed surface to project it on) only good in dark unlit areas, & hazards of laser to the eye. (yours or others) & don't dare ride near an airport with any exposed public laser! Then you could attract the drivers that would be hypnotized by the pretty lights & ........*! Just to name a few.

I think you missed what he said. It projects the light onto the ROAD behind him, not on him.
Pointed at a downward angle it will only shine on the road behind, no chance of laser to the eye or any problems with planes at the airport.

The more of an angle downward, the smaller the pattern, the less of an angle, the larger the pattern projected onto the road.

I have looked at those also but on my RTL chose to go with the Custom Dynamics third brake light. I was concerned that people would be looking at the light on the road and not see me stopped.

Old post, but just saw it.

I had a similar bit of kit on my last bike. It projected a red "line" across the road about 6 ft behind me. In the rain, the laser was visible, so a big red triangle was showing as the rain drops caught in the light. You could wire it to a switch as a fog light. Do not know the life of the laser if you did this, most are not designed to run continuously and overheat and burn out.

    Default XK Chrome

Has a set of LED's that when connected to the brake lights will turn on all the LED's to red once released goes back to the pattern you have running.

I have used AliExpress quite a few times for bits and pieces for my Mitsubishi Hybrid Petrol/EV and items have been good quality.

I like the Skene P3 lights for my bikes.

I have been using them for nearly 300K miles on several different bikes.
