Oh, my word! Just noticed all my PM's!

Just got an alert that I had a PM from a fellow Vermont Spyder ryder. Went over there and replied. Happened to scroll down a bit, and got a look at a long list of PM's, some of which have been on here for a couple of years. Sorry, if I've given anyone on SL's the impression that I don't want to talk. My email name is gabbywells, after all. I'll just chalk it up to being 76 years old and compuker (my name for computer) illiterate.

I'll try to remember to check for current PM's from now on.

I believe that there's a way to have the forum send you an alert, when a PM shows up in your Inbox.
Check out your settings in the User CP section, and see if you need some adjustments.

Yes. Bob, it's there, and that's exactly what happened last night. I just hadn't been on SL's in so long that the other alerts must have come and gone while I was away.
I spend a good deal of time on my regular e-mail, and on "The Diesel Page", which cuts into my Spyder Lovers time. Have to tell yuh: Spyder Lovers is the one that works to keep the "blood pressure" down. Not a lot of politics. NO name-calling. Good control of content, and great commentary among the nicest group out there. I love my "Diesel Page" family, too, but it gets a little heated, sometimes. I can come over "here" and spend hours reading up on Spyder "stuff". Just doesn't happen often. But hey, thanks so much for this site. You're great.

Been a while since I've watched a tractor pull video, too. Always impressed with what can be done with a hot diesel. Truth is, I don't like watching the one's that blow up. Hate to see good machinery destroyed. Nice to see one that has some hope of surviving yet another pull.

Love the smell of diesel, too. I love my 04 Sierra CC - Long-Bed, Dura Max, W/ Edge Juice and a few other non-stock items. My tilting cap, with a tailgate bustle (to clear the nose of the Spyder, which gets winched in backwards) is there just to accommodate it (the ), and a couple of Kobalt boxes on the right side. Gotta have a few hundred pounds of tools along, when you drive a GMC (Garage Man's companion) truck, pull an 04 Keystone TT, and, especially, ------ a !
