Action Camera for RT 2014
Would appreciate any info. on the brand, model, type and mounting position for action camera mainly on Can Am RT (with occasional use in car and on person). Have looked at the Hero Silver GO Pro 4 but a little pricey. Want to use it for regular photo shots and video recording of roads when riding. Need to keep the use and programming simple and also do not need extras that provide "grammy Productions". Just looking for ideas using the KISS principle.

I have a new Drift Technologies Ghost S.
I have a mount on my helmet. I also use it while skiing.
You can see the remote control mounted on the left handlebar.

I just purchased a Garmin VIRB action camera and am very impressed most reviews rate it as good or better than a GO PRO. Plus this model was recently discontinued and there are some unbeatable prices.
Here is a link to where I bought mine at a unbelievable $107.00.

Super thanks for your reply. Not even sure that I need another toy that I will seldom use. I will seldom use and save as photos or video cam recordings.
I pull up and view photo's after rides ( especially after civil war historical battle sites rides with knowledgeable input from our rider group). Then delete old pictures for new added photo space.
Just looking for the basic,s do not need high quality stuff for action camera.

It's a real easy installation that doesn't require any modifications to the bike. You just replace the two bolts that hold the dash top cover in place.
He also sells all of the necessary mounting hardware for the cameras also!

Cool, thank you very much, I will have to keep that in mind when I'm ready.

I have a Drift and a GoPro. I replaced them with two Garmin Virbs for my 11,000 trip this summer. I like the Garmins much more than the other two. Mainly because of their built in GPS. Plus, as Dill said, the prices for the discontinued models are a great deal.
