Need some help - on road right now and stranded
Hi everyone,
riding today day and need some assistance. I was almost run off the road by an idiot so I pulled over to stop and catch my breathe. I turn off my 2011 RS and used the kill switch. I then turned the me to ignition after a few minutes and hit the mode button and power button and everything shut off. Now when I turn the key to ignition nothing comes on at all. i tried to find anything online about it being an electrical thing but can't figure it out. Is this a limp home type thing that anyone knows how to fix? I literally get nothing as thought there's no battery. Yet the battery is not bad or old and everything was fine on its last check up about a month ago
thanks in advance.

Pull the key for a minute or so, double check the kill switch, gear position, etc....then try again?

What is the age of the battery? The same thing happened to me: I took it off the tender, left the house went in an 45min ride, stopped to get gas, and nothing. Yep it was a bad battery even though the charger said it was good before leaving the house.

Took the key out for five minutes actually. It is a SE5 transmission so I can't check the gears without a display unfortunately. I know it was in neutral when it died out though.

Check the battery connections, it is possible that you have a loose / corroded terminal and the sudden stop may have jarred the connections so now you have no power! Hopefully you have the Tool Kit on the Trike, good luck.

I do but I'm not familiar with how or where to look for that. Is there a link you might have I can check it out?

Ok it's weirder. If I turn my hazards on with the key out of the ignition they work. The moment I put the key in and turn to ignition they turn off

Ok, try this. Remove key and walk away from spyder (10 - 15 feet) wait approximately 10 minutes. As mentioned before you may need to check battery connections. Goog luck.

Don't know if you're still stranded but, even tho in neutral, put foot on brake? catches me out sometimes.

Unfortunately no luck with anything so I called a tower and am on the way to the shop. Thanks for everyone's replies though. I haven't been able to use this forum much the last few years but it's good to know we have each other's backs. Thanks guys, start safe!

well, took a while for the shop to look at it but it appears my battery died. So they are replacing it and it's off to the races again. Alls well that ends well as they say.
