    Default Givi top box

I decided to do a little searching and found a Givi top box on Craigslist. $85.
I had removed the factory backrest already being I highly doubted I would ever have a passenger. I removed the backrest from the base for storage. I replaced it with the sport rack plate.
I decided to mount the Givi to the backrest base so I can switch with just the pull of the release under the seat. I used 4 Deltec cables to attach the Givi mounting plate to the backrest base plate. These cable ties have a breaking strength of 250lbs.
I think it turned out pretty well.

Which top case do you have on now? It looks like the size I am going for; a big improvement over oem offering.

    Default Looks Great

That looks really great. I'll start searching for a top box to put on. The mounting system you used looks simple and strong. Thanks for the idea! Ebay, here I come.

I like the simplicity of the set up. I can remove the case and add the sport rack top plate without tools in a less than 30 seconds. There is also a built in pad on the case for the passenger.
Good luck with your search, and keep looking on SL for more ideas and other cases that people have used.
