    I'd like to see:

Better, bigger screen (so I can actually read it while driving).

Better headlights (LED's all the way would be nice).

Eliminate the "delay" when starting up.

Better access to the interior mechanics.

A Clymer manual (it's difficult to take off the Tupperware...at least for the first time).

A bit more storage room in back.

And last but not least.....a better horn (It's so wimpy, that I'm ashamed to use it).

This was news to me. I thought they were the same size. I just went down stairs and tried getting my Fulmer modular helmet in. It fit on the right side, but not the left. Guess I learn something new every day. Thanks!

The right side storage compartment is a bit deeper than the one on the left...
This might be a throwback to when the battery was located at the left rear side of the bike.

I agree with a quicker warm-up time before the bike can start.

Concerning the drive shaft - I've had bikes with a belt and bikes with a shaft and really couldn't tell a difference. The differential does soak up some energy and is in general less efficient, but it would require less maintenance.

What about alignment? It would be nice to have Spyder setup correctly.

I agree with all the posters comments. But high on the list would be the shaft drive like my 2 Vulcans had. I would give anything to get rid of that vibration between 70 - 80 mph.

Default just a couple of things.,

Better fuel economy would be nice on trips...and I sure wish there was an existing accessory wire behind that plug on the center of the handlebar, man that would be nice..Come to think of it the standard RT Would be much better with the adjustable handlebar as a stock item...maybe a longer lasting stock rear tire.....Overall I love this thing so it's shortcomings are not a real issue anyhow....

I would NOT want a drive shaft on the Spyder. I much prefer the belt.

I wish all Spyders came with a hand brake.

I'd like to have 2 extra power outlets, one at the back seat (actually, there's already a plug for one under the left passenger handgrip) and one up around the dash. I'd use the rear one for heated clothing and the front one for any accessories (like a GPS or a heated vest). Either one would also be handy for plugging in a battery tender -- wouldn't have to open any lids. Extra power outlets are nickle and dime stuff.

More positive turn signal switch. The existing one is pretty mushy.

Better quality speakers. I have a slight hearing deficit, and I have to crank the current ones WAY up to hear anything (especially at speed), and at that setting, the sound breaks up.

I think, for the RT-S and RT Limited, Tricled's front fender and saddlebag LEDs would be a nice touch.

The stock seat doesn't bother me. I rode BMWs for 32 years, and their stock seats are hardwood planks compared to the Spyder's. For longer trips, I add a sheepskin pad, and sometimes I also add a swatch of bubblewrap under the sheepskin. (I'm cheap!)

    Default Upgrades

Power! 1330cc overhead cam engines should make more power! My KTM has a 1301cc motor with 160 hp. Bone stock! Rotax engines make plenty to power-add some! Add LED headlights, stronger saddlebag hinges, a hand brake, and side bags that hold a helmet (both sides!). Most of all, POWER! Looks fast, is not fast. Make it fast - like 10.5 in a quarter mile fast! Or, faster!

Default just some smaller less expensive changes

    1. I would like to see a power source like a cigarette lighter up in the handlebar area instead of the trunk which is pretty much useless.
    2. A cup holder would be nice.
    3. a rear brake light in the top center storage box like the one Custom Dynamics makes
    4. a mud flap on the rear wheel
    5. A heavier sway bar like the others offer by aftermarket sources
    6. laser alignment from the factory
    7. better quality tires

I'm happy with the belt drive and pretty much everything else.

    Default Hand Brake

think of the time it takes to recognize a problem, then lift your foot, position it, and finally compress.
A hand brake is far safer, quicker and efficient which is what we seniors want and need. Safety please!

Because I have wanted one for over three years, and I attached with Sugru a 3" round flat mirror to the bottom right corner of the left hand mirror. Both our mirrors show vehicles farther away than they are.
I can lean over a bit to see how far a vehicle is behind me. At last!

Actually, I really like that idea. I hate the push button station selector.

And since I have a top rear brake light on my RT aftermarket, I really think they should have those on all RTs. It makes a huge difference.
