rear shock issue
While working on tail light I noticed that the spring on the rear shock is rubbing the shock body. Is this normal? If not any ideas other than have it replaced under warranty. BTW Spyder is a 2014 ST with just over 600 mi.

I've had a knocking noise on my 14 RTL for some time and have not been able to find it. Sounds like coming from the right side rear of the bike. Possible it could be the shock?

900Dave that is just what my shock looks like. There is not very much clearance at all. I will ask the guys to look at it when I take it in for it's service.
Thanks Allen

Are you guys bottoming out a lot? I have close to 15k on my 12' RS rear shock and a good friend is close to 20k on his and the spring has never touched the shock body on either.

never bottomed out. nothing looks bent. it just looks as if the spring is not held in the center of the shock.

I may have been bottoming out. My wife is on the back most of the time. The OEM shock is non adjustable. This is why I also put an Elka on the rear so I could adjust for 2 up riding and full saddle bags.
