Any ideas of what the fluid is? kinda oily, yellow in color and was not hot to the touch off the drive. Brake fluid maybe?

I've called my dealer Competition Accessories (Tug and Steve are awesome) They are coming to get the Spyder in the morning with no charge. Im just trying to get a head start in finding out whats wrong with the her.....

Hey Mclaw44; any word on what caused your fire/ fluid leak? We sure would like to know what caused this so we take the proper action to elevate this issue.

    Default update.....Spyder Home

Ok so after a long few weeks waiting on my Spyder it is now home. Spyder required a new master cylinder. The fire was caused by break fluid hitting the exhaust. Recall done and ready to ride just in time for my vacation.

Was anything else destroyed besides the M/cylinder?
Was it all fixed under warranty?

Was the tandem master cylinder recall completed before the leak/fire occurred? If so, this indicates the tandem master cylinder recall was not effective.
