We just got a new 2014 1330. Took a break-in run from eastern PA up thru Thousand Islands, thru Algonquin and up the Bruce Peninsula, over Lake Huron to Sault Ste Marie, up along the north shore of Lake Superior, and eventually back to PA. What a great ride and a great bike.
Somewhere along the line (I don't remember exactly where), I spotted this unfortunate fellow when I was walking in front of the bike.
member of the cognac club I see... must have been a fun ryde even for the unfortunate little fellow. Be safe out there and enjoy cause breaking her in is but the begining...

Ahhh poor baby. I hate that, I believe I killed a puppy the other day with my car. It was on a freeway here, and on a curve there were two puppies, I couldn't stop or anything to see, but when I came back it was gone, so I am hopeful he is ok, but it is sad.....

That's one hell of a break-in Ride!! Most just go to the nearest coffee shop. We do most of those roads too but it takes us all summer. Very nice.
2 years ago I was riding my GoldWing in upper New Mexico.. the prairie dogs were all over the road.. at 70 MPH I could not miss all of them... I sure hate to kill any of God's creatures if I can avoid it...

After 40K on my 2011 RT-S SM5 I am looking forward to great times on the new RT-S SM6. The break-in trip was even better than expected. Great machine.

At least the screen stopped it from hitting your radiator. I had a barn owl hit my windscreen on my Honda Shadow while I was running 80 mph. Thankfully it missed my head.
Congrats on the new ride and very impressed with the break in ride.

Considerable farkling was done before the ride. All functional, none for show. More to come -- all the same as my 2011 additions which I proved I really liked. Before the trip -- Baker wings, ISCI brake lever, two Gerbing connections for heat, LED signals in the mirrors, Custom Dynamics center high-mounted brake and running light, Clearwater voltage indicator. Now I get to do the rest at a reasonable pace and enjoy the process. Midnight oil getting all that done for the trip. Needed heat -- it was 37F up there in the mornings!
I've never hit a bird on anything until the Spyder. 2 years with the Spyder have hit 2 birds. Wonder why. maybe the birds don't sense or see the Spyder like the do cars and trucks??

Brockville is where we turn north to go up to Smiths Falls, ON for our first night's stay. Great town and Rob Roy's Pub can't be beat. Have stayed in Smiths Falls and eaten at Rob Roy's several times. He moved into a larger place in the EconoLodge and another pub opened in his old place by the bridge. I almost walked into the old place by mistake. No one was in there; went to the new place and it was pleasantly packed.

Actually my "passenger" (aka my wife) was in Italy at cooking school when I bought the 1330. I went to the the dealer's -- Blackman's in Emmaus, PA -- to pick up some parts for my 2011 RT. There in the showroom was a Cognac manual transmission (!) RT-S. I was done for as soon as I saw it. I e-mailed my wife (nice guy that I am), bought it the next day, and had 500 miles on it before my wife ever saw it.

Gypsy, you're not the fellow I met at Blackman's with the new Corvette are you?
I did a break me in from outside Austin, Tx, up to outside Dallas, Arkansas, Tennessee (up into the twisties and the Smokeys), NC, VA, Maryland WV and back to PA. I stopped at Blackman's on my way home to get the transfer and plates changed. I think it was in Tennessee that I encountered a dead armadillo in my lane. Cleared it with the front tires, but couldn't dance around it with the back. They really make a crunching sound.

While riding on Rt 40 in Tennessee, at 65+ a fresh dead deer carcass which had been mangles by several tractor trailers came out from under the car in front of her and my Wife straddled the remains with front tires and it hit the front spoiler and Up and over it she went. No damage, but lots of Oooie, gooie stuff all over her and the Spyder. Then to top it off she picked this up in Colorado.
