Folks, Here is an update for those folks that are waiting for the F4 Windshield for the F3. We have had some great results and the windshield is complete and the hardware is just about completed. The testing will be completed this week. The air flow is awesome.
The windshield will be manufactured in two different heights. We also will over clear or tint. One height you will be able to look over and the other you will look through.
The hardware is made in such a way you will have adjustability of these two windshields so you can tweak it just right.
I have attached some photo's for your preview and would like to have your opinions sent to donfrank@f4customs.com.
The shield is made from our High Optics Polycarbonate, Sheds Rain, and is Highly Scratch Resistant due to our patented coatings.
Starting June 8th we will be taking Pre-Orders for shipment approx. the end of June.
Thanks for your input

Honest opinion and you know what they say about opinions.....too big for me. I'll stick with the BR and at 6'2", I'm very happy with it's look and performance...with a full size helmet and a half helmet w/small shield. Good luck though, it sounds like there are plenty of folks willing to purchase your product.
Have the Blue Ridge installed now. The extra height on yours is great however the shape makes it look large and bulky. Obviously aftermarket. What are the extra holes for in the lower center attachment point? Is there going to be a cover plate fot the screws? Also this appears to eliminate the ability to mount speakers on the "rails" as Lamont did.

It's probably a prototype not finished product.
Guess you have to make choices Windshield or speakers.

Just a question but why add a new bracket for the arms to connect to rather than using the windsheild mount bolt BRP provided at either end of the instrument cluster?
Also be aware that that rail your bracket is screwed to is plastic, not metal on the F3 base model and will not support a heavy load.

WE can not use the existing brackets as the mounting points are to low for our shield and any attempt to make a adaptor did not work.
I will look into the mounting a little closer but we are still in prototype.

As an ex goldwing rider I have to say F4 shields are the most durable out there. Most aftermarket and some OEM stuff will scratch if you get to close to it with a rag made of just about anything. Made the mistake one time on a cross country trip on the wing and cleaning the OEM shield to get rid of some of the bug guts. The shield was ruined.....
The F4 is the real deal IMHO and I can't wait for it to come out. Now don't get me wrong, Madstad does great work, in fact if given the opportunity I would use the F4 shield with the Madstad adjustable bracket. The best of both worlds

I am the guy in the pictures now with 2700 miles of experience with the F4 windshield. It was tested through heat, sleet(they called it hail), heavy rain and higher speeds. When passing on I-90 I reached speeds under 100 MPH.
I can finally hear the intercom, XM Radio and Phone calls at highway speeds. I spoke, via Bluetooth headset, with Don at F4 when on I-90 doing 80. I had never experienced any of the above at speeds over 50 on this bike. I can also read the Highway signs because my helmet is not shaking so bad because of the buffeting. What an amazing ride!
The windshield did not shake except for the gravels roads we were on to get to our condo.
Can't say anything negative but thanks to Don for letting me test it out and also providing a solid mount(using the windshield bracket)for the Sound System in progress!
