However...
When you're moving the bike around, and aren't sitting on it: make sure that you stand on the brake pedal side! If it were to get away from you: there's no stopping it without the brakes!
Oh! You'll also mess with your audio settings...
Bass, treble, fader, and automatic volume control; will be set back to the way the bike came from the factory.
Nice to know Bob! I wondered why my audio setting seem to disappear from time to time. I don't understand why this happens, but maybe this is the answer.

At Spyderfest the Spyders must be pushed around in Vendor Village, since it is inside. I don't know if there's an upper limit to how far you can move without power, but it could be a hundred feet round trip there.

My RT is a SM6, so I have released the brake and moved it on a couple of occasions by just pulling in the clutch lever. I only did this a couple of feet. Now my RSS is a SE5 and I do find myself moving it more often, but it is always less than 10-15'. I assumed that this would not cause a transmission issue, but it is good to know that I am safe.

I agree, I push my RT all over the garage and yard with out any problems.

At "pushing speeds": you could move it across Town, and not hurt a thing.
It's a complete non-issue.

As a matter of routine, when I pull my Spyder into the garage I shift it into Neutral and set the parking brake. Although you can push the thing around when it's in 1st, it's easier if in Neutral.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Similar to JayBros, pull into garage, shift to neutral, I do not even set the brakes, just place a rubber chock at the left front wheel.
When I get ready to ride, just roll it outside, key on, parking brake on, fire the motor without filling the garage with exhaust fumes.
If you do roll an SE6 in gear, you will feel a drag through the clutch, this is normal. If you roll it in neutral, it rolls easy like a skateboard.

MOVING IT IN NEUTRAL ---ENGINE OFF
IMHO - it's not about how far but at what speed you are doing this ...... Mike

There you have it....
Not a problem all you need to know is above. Just don't go any faster than you can push it....

If you shut if off in neutral: you don't have to put your foot on the brake pedal, when firing it back up...
