F3 with discoloration on the seats. Anybody else?
I've had my F3 3 weeks. I noticed a slight uneven finish on leather seats when I bought it. Photos don't really show up. Chalked it up to shipping, bags, etc. I cleaned the seat with leather cleaner (very mild) with no impact. The splotches are getting more noticeable. My dealer wants to see it (80 miles away. It sounds like they will deal with it. I'm wondering is this a one of.......or?
Thanks in advance. Steve

Is it die transfer?
I have some bluejeans that 'leach' their die on to my leather seats in my car. I've not found a cure besides washing the jeans many many times.

The picture I put up is the passenger seat. No butts on it yet.

Is your dealer in

all on two wheels. More on four or more. Guess I may need to start multi-coloring for three wheels.

Actually I am not finding my F3 seat at all comfortable on longer rides. After an hour or so, it has the same two pressure points the BRP Comfort seat gave me on the RT. I can't wait for Ultimate to release thier F3 saddle. I will be among the first to order.
Everyones butt is different. Mine just does not fit the BRP design mould it seems.

Exactly what mine is doing.

My seat is doing the same as the photos by Can Am Chris. Yes my dealer is Mid South in Clarksville.

I will say that after doing a cleaning with the Lexol, the overall look is almost uniform now. Significantly better
than when I picked it up. (I do think that some protectant was on there, or not, and a quick shower came along
and spotted them).
I'd like to see a set directly out of the crate. I think that will tell-the-tale on whether its a factory defect or just
something better is needed for care. Now, I am guessing if we are out and about and it rains, or when washed,
the same may happen.

Yup, this is normal for the F3S seat. The "top" of the seat has the suede look while the sides of the seats clean up real nice with leather cleaner....don't expect that on the top. I personally like the effect.

Phil, if I had leather seats, I would be sweating all the time, so I could see the jeans' dye leaching into the leather. I just couldn't do leather on a long trip unless it was ventilated.

Get an Alaska Leather cover and put that on the seat, much more comfortable than plain seat. My $.02.
