    Default Paint Touchup

I scuffed the front end on my 2014 RTL while towing. I have checked the paint codes (Vegas White) on Lamonstergarage.com but any recommendations on the proper procedures for repair are welcomed. Thanks

Looks like the perfect spot for a decal or graphic. I have never had luck with self touch-up on anything. My lack of ability. Good luck.

Not sure about the touch up paint, but WOW! That front end really looks big. I need to go down stairs and look at mine. It is a 2014, but I never really looked at it from that angle. Good luck.

That has to be the worst place to have to do touch up with all those converging edges.

Seriously, might be easier to get a strip of white vinyl wrap that you could put on as a "bra".

To really do it right, that frunk lid will have to come off so it can be prepped and re-painted.

If you do try the touch up paint in a bottle, dab it on, don't brush it. Little at a time, let it dry, then build up on it. Use some 1000 grit sand paper to rough it up between coats, then use finer and finer grits to polish it out. That'd be my approach.

    Default Here's the thing..!!

You have to sand down the rough edges first. Try to keep it confined to the damaged area. The best way (only way for me) is color matched spray paint. Very light passes feathering twowads the edges. Once well dried lighty sand very fine 400+ grit then clear coat. Otherwise apply some decorative item there.

Here's a link for 2014 RT colors from Touchup Direct.

This is what you're looking at if you were to replace it...

Thanks everyone. I originally thought the solution will be a quick fix but little did I know. I'm going with "Touchup Direct" and hope it doesn't look that messy after.
