In the photo there are mirrors attached to the windshield. A member of our PA Spyder Ryder group saw these and took this photo. He tried waiting for the owner but they did not come out.
We have been searching hi & low for them.
If anyone can help us out it would be greatly appreciated.
I like the idea of the extra mirrors higher up. Have not done anything like that with my RT's, but had an extra round (wide angle) type mirror on both my RS's. They were affixed with sticky back in the upper left quadrant of the left mirrors. I found the extra view to be very helpful.

In this video you can somewhat see my solution for a higher mirror. It is a classic old fashioned bicycle mirror. All told I have less than $20 in it. You can't see it very well, if at all, but I mounted the mirror on a piece of pvc pipe to which I fastened a couple of 2" C clamps using steel/epoxy putty. The pipe is clamped to the dash. Look at the last 10 seconds. This is strictly a utilitarian mirror to be able to see over my tent-on-a-trailer so prettiness was not a consideration at all. The trailer blocks the stock mirror image directly behind me. I use the mirror only when pulling the trailer.
I tried a mirror I bought from Cycle Giant that had a plastic stem. The plastic was flexible and the mirror vibrated so much it was almost unusable. That's why the bicycle mirror with a steel stem. It still has some vibration but it's steady enough to see if cars are directly behind me. I thought about trying to mount a mirror on the windshield but couldn't figure out a good way that wouldn't damage the windshield and still be easy to put on and take off. Also, I think vibration could be a significant issue with a windshield mounted mirror. The vibration comes largely from wind blowing past the mirror as much or more than vibration coming from the bike body. In the video the mirror appears to be steady but I don't know if that's because it actually was, which I don't think so, or if it's the result of converting the video for YouTube.

I will say there is nothing l know of on the market that is even close to being as good as them.
they are fully adjustable..
I however, took them off my GoldWings windshield because of the vibrations and mounted them on the fairing
on my ST1100 I did the same see photo.

For that kind of money, I'll just keep on doing shoulder checks as part of my normal defensive driving scan. I'm not cheap, but that kind of money needs to go for something like BajaRons sway bar.
IMHO...that thing is OBSCENE .....and it's HUGH to boot ..................plus it may actually be illegal it obstructs so much of your forward vision.,......Mike

Then you didn't read all the thread before you formed your opinion.
The mirror may look like it is up high on his windshield but it actually is down quite low and does not obstruct his vision.
This bike is ridden in an upright position, look at his later post #22.

IMHO.....if you tried to get your Spyder inspected with that attached to your windshield .........it wouldn't pass....I'm not saying YOU shouldn't like it tho..................Mike
That actually seems like it would be more distracting than helping but who can say until you actually try it and even then im sure it varies from person to person.

they are pricey, but to me they are well worth it. Craneing my neck around is getting more and more difficult and these totally eliminate blind spots on both sides of the bike. I am going to Spyderfest and I would be happy to let you sit on my bike and see for yourself how well they work.
