Default Looking for WWII and Korean War Veterans

Looking for WWII and Korean War Veterans!!!!!!

I an the Co-Chairman of South Jersey Honor Flight (www.sjhonorflight.org). We take WWII and Korean War Veterans to see their memorials in Washington DC FREE of charge (We will not accept one penny from any Veteran going on the trip). There are still a lot of WWII and Korean Vets that have not seen their memorials and we are trying to correct that.

Last year we took 4 busses of Veterans and Guardians to DC. We are looking for for more Vets to take down.

Check out the web site, see what we do.

Also when you check out the web site you will notice that we have a little bit of an escort from Williamstown, NJ to the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

If anyone wants to join the escort they are more than welcome or if anyone wants to say thank you to our vets as we are going down RT 95 to DC I know they appreciate it.

Applications for Veterans and Guardians are on the website.

    Thanks,

    Frank

My Daddy was a machine gunner during WWII. He hit the beach in Italy and walked most of the way and fought all the way to the Bulge and then on in to Berlin, Germany. He was wounded at the Bulge and with a severe head wound was wrapped up and sent back to the front lines. He was later awarded the Bronze Star. After the war and his discharge he went to a craft school at Mississippi State Univ. on the Army's dime to become a mechanic. After that he never asked his government for another cent nor for a minute of consideration till he died in August, 1980. He carried scars and pain for his payment. These men and women saved this nation from a tragedy no one can really appreciate unless you were there. I saw it daily through my Daddy's eyes for so many years. Thank God for your group and others who pick up the chain our nation drops when it comes to care for the veterans. Now I will also say that it is not the Govt, per se, that drops the chain, it is the caliber of so many of the people the VA hires who have absolutely no care or intention of giving an assist to our honored vets as much as they are in just hanging in there for their own retirement check. Sorry for the rant and May God bless you and all others like you.

Go to your nearest VA nursing home. I go every Wed. and talk to the ww2 And Korean vets and family members. I go as a volunteer Chaplain.
It makes my day going there. It is full of wonderful people of all ages.
