Sway Bar
I have ordered and received my Spyderpop Bumpskid and s friend suggested I also add a sway bar to my new '14 RT-S. Is that something can be done after the bumpskid is installed or does it need to be installed before the Bumpskid. Am not wanting to have to remove the bumpskid just after installing it. Thanks,
Ken

On the 2014 the sway bar is back further than the bumpskid (just crawled under it to check) so no need to worry. Be sure to order the helm links when you order the sway bar or you will be doing the sway bar twice.

Relax..!!
you can do the bar whenever your ready. If you have no issues with handling you can wait on it but it is an impressive change once installed if you like winding roads.

Also, you can exchange the heim links without having to remove the sway bar or lift the Spyder.

im really considering this on my 2008 RS. everyone seems to rave about it. It amazes me that a bar of metal could make the bike handle that much better, or i guess what amazes me is that if it does make it handle that much better why its not on there from the factory, even in newer models. I have no way to lift it or very much mechanical skill and my dealer wants 145 to replace it.

sway bar
I didn't get the skid plate, but I did have the sway bar installed. The swaybar makes a big difference in the handling especially in corners.

I installed a bump-skid then installed BaJaRon sway bar... you don't have to remove the bump-skid..

Ordered Bajaron Bar
OK, I ordered a Bajaron Swaybar this morning and talked to a really nice guy there. He was very informative and helpful. And yes, with he 2014 bars the other needed pieces are included.

thanks
Both my wife and I (ryding Double) could literally feel the difference just turning out of our driveway onto the street. She always felt like our '12 RT would be out of shape in the curves and I would feel it diving....But not since I got that bar! The Trike now takes those twisties like a pro and the wife is happy-happy and no longer nervous in the curves. 'nuf said...

Based on all the posts in different threads, I'm about ready to order the BajaRon bar as well, before even riding my 2010 RT. How high does it really need to be lifted to do the swap? Will standard car ramps/jack stands get it high enough? I'm mechanically inclined and good with taking things apart, and I have some pretty decent tools as well. But I don't have other means of getting the front end in the air.

With a set of car ramps; you'll do just fine...
You basically need to get just high enough so that you can sneak down underneath the nose of the bike on your back...

Alright i think i am convinced, where is the cheapest option for buying one of these? All the bars now include the links i have been reading about? Im going to have to have it installed i dont have ramps or lifts or really anything but an average tool box lol.

I'm waiting for someone to try one on a F3 to see if needed. I know BAM has a rt one but needs to thaw out so he can ride.

Hi Tony,
I used Arntufun's videos to remove my frunk, panels & install my BajaRon swaybar on my '08.
Here it is: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...ay-Bar-install
I have been wrenching on motor vehicles since 1954 so this was rather easy for me. But I did follow his instructions to the proverbial T.
Randy's videos are the best that I have ever seen. And that is not meant to be negative to anyone else who has posted videos; they all help.
Go for it guys,

PS) I just spent a 'few' hours removing my Sport Rack, installing a Corbin seat & reinstalling the Sport Rack. I had two printed sets of instructions and one video to refer to. They helped a lot; BUT none of them mentioned those two little 6 mm allen drive screws that have to come off of the bottom cover of the Sport Rack.

It's about 90% as responsive as my "Elka and RonBar" equipped 2010 RT, with a much more compliant ride...
Now that is a valuable comment... thank you.

No need on the F3 in my opinion. The bike is amazing.
