There was a discussion on Facebook about if an RT will be built on the F3 frame and styling in 2016.
Someone either drew this or found it somewhere.
What do you think?
I might actually like it

2011 RT-S SM5 - Black
Bought June 2013 with 450 miles. 27K on 8-1-2017.
Farkles - DIY Trunk Break Light, HMT Break Light, DIY Mirror Turn Signal Lights, DIY Bluetooth Dongle, DIY iPod Setup, DIY Alarm System Install, Show Chrome front fender / rear saddle bag lights, 4th break light around the trunk, Vented Windshield, Baja Ron Sway Bar, DIY GPS setup, Smooth Spyder, BRP Chrome Mirrors, Adjustable deflectors, Triaxis handlebars, NVB Pegs, Bad Boy Airhorn... More to come
I think your just jealous
But what if this was a reality?
Personally, it is not cost effective for BRP to continue to run 2 manufacturing lines for frames. I am going to bet that this will happen eventually and all models will be built off this new F3 frame.

Why would you intentionally reduce the cargo capacity of a bike designed for Touring??
Who says you would reduce the frunk? It does not have to be the same frunk as on the F3 like the RS and RT are not the same. I am just suggesting the same frame and "styling" for the new RT. The plastic is just that, bolt on "stuff" to the frame.

(Sigh). It's a beauty! Now I need to get over buyer's regret for my 2014!
Buyers regret? I love my 2014.

The frames are all the same from 2013 on. Only the subframes are changed.
And I don't think you'll see this or any version of it.
I know I can always dream, but if I was retired, or had the funds to pay someone to do it, I would install the 200 hp Vmax motor in a St. That would be totally bad a$$.
Again, it is only a dream
2021 RTL , brake pedal from "Web Boards" chalk white
My vision of a slam-dunk change/update to the RT would be a slight re-shaping to accommodate the U-Fit leg positioning system that the F3 enjoys. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my newly-acquired 2014 RT Limited.
Not a fan of the "imagined '16 F3 RT". BRP got it right when they designed the 2014 RT. The only changes I would make or add to the OEM equipment list is a beefier sway bar and a LED HMT running/brake light. I love my 2014 RT Limited!!!

Why not a 2016-2017 Spyder RT with a F3 type top fill gas tank

Hi Lamont,
It would be a shame if BRP Spyder engineers ignore the fact that majority of Spyder RT owners/riders want a top fill F3 type gas tank.
I would think BRP engineers could fit a F3 gas tank on 2016 Spyder RT by removing glove box, molding panels to fit around F3 gas tank.
Keep rest of RT the same as present 2015 RT's for storage, etc.
Just my 2 cents.

I have been waiting to hear this from someone for a long time. I have a 85 vmax named storm built by mad max, 144 at the rear wheel and it was not running good. I dream one day of installing it in a spyder. deer slayer.
