The modified part (cat bypass) would have to be the cause of the failure in for warranty repair. A cat bypass does not, in itself, void anything.
A cat bypass cannot cause a purge valve failure or really any other part of the emissions system to fail. Now, blow out a muffler (unlikely), damage a hanger etc etc and they may deny warranty replacement of those parts. I could also see warranty denial for a broken exhaust header bolt, gasket, or similar if they claim fitment issues.
The same exists with any mod. Rip out the mounting bolts running a larger windshield, shred a belt or pulley with a tensioner installed, burn up some electrical with aftermarket lights installed, etc etc.....its all open to interpretation by the dealer.
But I agree, if your worried about it simply swap out the bypass before having any warranty work done.

I have a 2014 RT-S. Is there a reason to do the cat delete since there is not a heat issue? Is there a power increase? Does it drop the weight much? Is it mostly for a better sound?
I'm sure this has been gone over many times so once more couldn't hurt right?!

You could buy yourself a louder horn, and be much better-protected.
Bob you don't hear motorcycles with a tuned exhaust coming up from behind or in your blind spot? I have upgraded my horn but I am still very happy with the tone and increased sound level of the change. Necessary, no, I guess it is a matter of what you like.

Ooo, the old "loud pipes argument". You KNOW you can't win that one, don't you?

Thanks. This was what I figured but wanted to check. I think I'll spend that money for something that will improve the ride and not just the sound. I don't care about that much.

Yes, but I would be willing to bet that most of those people have never seen the F3 in person! It is a very sexy machine up close! ... not so much in photos.

2008 the cat is in the muffler itself. Swap out your muffler and you get the added bonus of losing the cat too! [emoji106]

I'm not worried about warranty issues, I'm concerned about any possible sensors hooked up to the converter, but I do have 2 questions. 1) does it have any senors on it, and 2) If I do put the cat delete pipe on my F3, will the computer pick up on it and throw an error code?

There is vid out there on YouTube.
Basically, after installing by-pass, you start up the engine and let it idle ??? minutes. This allows the computer to reset to new values.
Shut it down, and restart and you're good to go.
You can do a search for ?PitBull bypass? on YoTube or maybe a vid available from them in their ad section here.
