i would say to sit on the helmet and see if anything else gets itchy, if it does it is the helmet

I think that it is the air ventilation Most helmets seem to have the vents set up to blow right towards your mouth and up your nose it goes.
Its either that or Cat hair

I have the same problem when it's cold out. I use a little hand lotion on my tip of my noise, that helps.

You may have a hard time believing this, but wearing ear plugs cuts down on the nose itch. It has to due with the body reacting to the noise overload.
Try wearing ear plugs and see if it helps you.

I ride with a full face helmet.. and have for quiet a number of years... I have NEVER noticed any nose itch while riding..

Agree, feels like you're blowing the helmet clean off. Happens here in Oregon also.
