Welcome ! Great support for veterans. No veteran should fall through the cracks. Glad that your foundation is here to help with that.

Looking forward to learning more about your foundation. Thanks for helping !

    Default WWP Question

Fret off I think that WWP has established.a very dworthwhile project since the U.S. Gov't and the VA have dropped the ball significantly. I have serious heartburn over some facts that I read about the way they are handling the contribution money. With a IRS posted. amounnt of 154 million a and less the 2 million given towards the support objectiive, the Veteran that needs the support. Have you seen anything contrary to this?

Good luck with your Chaper getting its feet on the ground!

Agree about finding out where your money goes, but...

I go to a bike rally every year and there's a WWP camp one lane over from where we are. (WWP takes up many camp sites $$$$$) Every year, I go over and socialize with the vets. Some lost a leg, some lost arms, some you realize later are just starting to walk again, one had taken one too many concussion bombs etc., etc. I've gotten to know the people taking care of those who need help too.

What I do best there to help is take my Spyder over to their camp (a stable vehicle) and ride the vets around "The Loop." Good entertainment for the guys. We had to tie a couple of them to the back-rest because of their balance issues. Broke my heart when one of the brain damaged vets said he hadn't ridden a motorcycle in 16 years.

Sometimes it's not about the money. Sometimes it's just about giving a little of your time...

Road Warrior Project, I know a Vet who lost both arms at the shoulders. He Loved Riding Motorcycles. Last I saw him, he had shoulder-responsive artificial arms and hooks for hands. If you could help him ride again I can give you contact numbers, PM me.

Numbers I just dug up show Wounded Warrior Project spends about 8% on administration (which is low I believe, i.e., a good number), 36% on fundraising, and 56% on projects. (All numbers are approximate.) From what I find the fundraising figure is high and the project figure is low, but neither are outrageous. I would be inclined to say WWP is an OK charity, but not the best, and definitely not the worst by any means.
