A great article by Fred. He seems to have most of the situations covered, as well as provoking some thought on various questions.
I wave as much as possible. Safety first, wave second.

I always wave, as long as it is safe. Don't always get the courtesy returned though. Oh well, I think I'll survive.

I wave....
I wave at all Riders, Law enforcement, Fire Personnel and hotrods. I use my left arm, below the handlebar and extend 3 fingers in honor of my Spyder. If I happen to get no response..... I might just retract 2.
I find that when riding with a group of Spyders, we get waves from almost all other riders, but that goes way down when riding alone....watteva.....

i will wave to anyone that waves at me, i use the 2 fingers below the waist method. I have noticed different amounts of waves i receive depending on which bike i ride. Seems like each group is more likely to wave when i am on there type of bike, i.e. a sport bike or cruiser. When on the spyder i notice the waves go way down as if we are not part of the club and dont deserve them. That kinda bothers me especially since i have 2 wheelers but it is what it is.
