Reading this thread is a trip down memory lane. I too, met Mike at SITS. What a great evening with him and others at the Red Roof as Yazz tutored us on eating hot dogs. I was with Mike and Dan when he was brandishing the whip around North Carolina and Tennessee. . What a great guy. He was always so happy to see everyone and always had nice things to say. And those god aweful tiedye Tshirts! It was his trademark.

    He will be missed!

Mike and I became fast friends after meeting up at Scotty's (Nancy's Toy) for a gathering. From then on we became riding buddies and rode and roomed on many trips to Spyderfest, Spyders in the Smokies and of course Lamont's BBQ's.

Mike was a character for sure.. as anyone who met him can attest to. He liked to be in the thick of things, joking and having fun... something we all need to do!

I'd like this thread to be dedicated to Mike and for everyone to share a funny story about Mike if you have one......

    Thanks.
I first met Mike in 2010 at Spyders in the Smokies.
I spent a few hours with Mike, Dan, Yazz, and Steve at Smokies Bar also. What a great time!! He kept us laughing all the time with his stories and quick wit.
As others have said, I always looked forward to seeing him at Spyder events! He always had a smile on his face and a funny story.
I too remember his tie dye shirts, and whenever I saw someone else with one, or in a store, you had to think about Mike!
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
Our prayers go out to Mike's family and Carroll.

I first met Mike in Spyderfest 2013 and became friends immediately. He was always a very happy positive person. The best day we had we did the Bikes on the Bricks in Flint, we had a great time and he stayed until late in the night. Mike was proud of the fact that he had attended every Spyderfest. At Spyderfest 2014 he helped me and Cruzr Joe do a modification to my spyder and on Friday night was there to party with us. I will miss him as a friend and am sorry to here of his passing. My wife and I send you all of our prayers for Carol (some girl) and the family.

The picture attached show his trademark of tie-dyed. For the Michigan meet and greet that I am putting together on March 28th I am going to make the theme tie-dyed in honor of Mike (some guy).

The other is up on Clingman's Dome... and the last one was Mike's brilliant idea for a Spyder Lock.......

    Default Update....

I spoke with Some Girl (Carroll) again today and they will not be having a service right now for Mike.
He's being cremated and she will be having a memorial party for him this summer that everyone will be invited to.
I'll keep you posted, but it probably won't be planned for a few months.
Oh.. BTW.... Mike and Carroll were not married... but they'd been dating for 20 years.

    Here is Carroll's address:

mike is and will be missed, he got along with about everyone, loved to ride and was quick with a joke.

A real loss to the spyder community.
I am existing right now, would give anything to live again. Fix my sci and you have everything I own.

Some Guy , will miss you my man. Great sense of

humor as evidenced in this thread he created. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...ng-our-Spyders

He had over 1600 replys on threads here, and

thats how I knew who he was, when I met him

at Spyderfest, got to tell him how original his

name here was, didn't want to learn his or Fireflys

real names as it would be too confusing to remember

that this Mike said this and not the other 3 Mikes I

know, So really liked the use of handles here. I mean

how many Fireflys, NancysToys, G-Man or Bumble Bee's

    do you know?!

Now do understand that if I'm gonna loan you money,

I want your Birth name, a blood sample and for you to

wear a leg bracelet! Just so I know your not in Vegas spending the money I lent you.

But for talking Spyders the handles suit me fine. ( My brain is already at capacity )

I remember we had a choice of rides to go on at the first Spyderfest I attended in Cuba in 2011

Picked a ride to the Meramec Caverns caves, and if you have never been let me tell ya, am so glad I did.

Here is Some Guy in his tie dyed purple shirt

and here is the whole group that attended the caves or Zip Lines,

All of us going the three's sign, or 2 if you were on a two wheeler.

looks like Some Guy did the Zip Line

For me, the last time I saw Some Guy was at Spyderfest 2013 and at the drag races and we walked around with Firefly and checked out all the cool accessories

on the wide variety of RTs parked in the lot, saying what we liked on this one or that. Fun times.

Going to really miss you Mike. will be getting one of these decals and placing it on my Spyder in your honor this year at Spyderfest.

    Steve

That was a great day, riding and enjoying the caverns and zip-line with good friends. By the way, thanks for not taking a picture of my bike laying on it's side. That day began my first SpyderFest tradition. For some reason, SpyderFest is the only time I ever drop my bike.
