Matt...picked up some stainless steel 8/32 2" to try and reach threads in the bars. Also some washers to fill in the larger hole to it doesn't pull through your lock.
I ordered a pair of the Lidlox for our Kuryakyn ISO grips. They arrived in 2 days and are very nice quality. Just finished the 5 minute install and they fit perfectly. One on each of our bikes.

It looks the same as all the rest installed, but I need a stronger screw than a drawer pull one. I will also need to put a washer to take up the space because the hole in the kit accommodates the larger hex bolt you provided. Likely try a hardware store this weekend and see if I can't find a proper bolt. When I saw that the factory screw in the grip was slotted for a Phillips head, which was loose to start out and replaced it, it doesn't tighten. Don't know if it was striped when it was assembled or not, so I put a very small amount of locktite for now.

I think my 7/8 universal kit with the rubber plugs will work on those Spyders. Its just been years since I worked on those so I don't remember the end cap exactly. If you can take the end cap off and see inside the handlebar ends, then the rubber plug setup will work.

Sorry Matt I just saw this after I put on all the new parts I got today at Lowe's. The 2" screw works perfect and it tightened up and I also used Blue Permatex Thread locker.
I don't have any chrome ones at the moment, but I have had a few requests so I will run a batch through chrome. That usually takes 4-6 weeks b4 I have them back.

My question is: Will we be able to use a half cover on our Spyder while using these LidLocks? Looks like with the locks the helmets may spread out the cover too far on each side for a cover to fit correctly. Anyone know for sure? We would love to install these, but want to make sure everything works together before spending the cash, although it's only $79.

I ordered my set early on from Matt. But it's been so dang cold in my unheated garage that I just don't feel like installing them yet. But I know I'm gonna love them when I do.
I got them in black, but since I have both black and chrome end caps , I just may wait a little while to remove them from that shrink wrap card. I think I might like the chrome ones even better when Matt gets some in, and maybe he'll let me exchange them.
