WHAT DID YOU DO ON THIS FIRST DAY OF 2015?
What I did was install the Ron bar and links, repaint the underside and lower right front that was scraped up, install Spyderpops bump skid, and wire up Amber LED lights along the drivers floorboards.
Solid Orange wire is keyed on power, do not use Orange with a stripe as you may find the extra load will turn on your fans
A very good start to the new year

Went on a short ride of about 70 miles.

Went for a short ride in 13 degrees. Then installed the flag holders on the back of my 14 rt. By then I was frozen and had to go in. What a fun day.
-
Slept pretty late (youngest granddaughter asked me to pick her up from a party at 3am), watched the Rose Parade with my wife and daughter, watched football the rest of the day. Pretty much veged.

I went for about a 50 mile ride, and then got back home to help the wife with a dinner for my daughter, son-in-law, and 4 grandkids. We also have my youngest daughter and her roommate home from college. Had a great time with the family.

Got off work 7am. The hubby (Tobor 9) and I joined 64 other people on their bikes and had our 6th. Annual Polar Bear Ride. We left the house about 8:30am and got home about 2:30pm. Rode about 80 miles and had lunch. After we got home made a pot of coffee and napped in our chairs until about 6pm. Pretty much veged out the rest of the night.

Solo
Took a nice solo (too cold for the bride) 116 mile ride around Lake Tillery. Fun roads, no traffic, can't beat that. Grilled a couple of filets and watched the Ducks clobber the Semiholes.
Artillery lends dignity to what would
otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Long drive
My husband and I (and Yorkie JD) finished our 20 hour drive to the Gulf Coast and Padre Island for a month's stay in Texas. Having both just retired, this is our treat! Our first winter vacation. Unfortunately, all 13 motorcycles are at home in cold Illinois!

No Riding Yet
The knee isn't healed enough yet from my December 11th surgery to do any riding. Besides it's too cold anyhow!! Except for a short dog walk I pretty much stayed in the house all day, watched the Rose Parade and the NHL Winter Classic. I did listen to the Sugar Bowl on the radio, GO BUCKS!! Too bad our Toledo TV stations are all Michigan fans and didn't broadcast the game.

Hot Rods was closed
The temperature was about 57 degrees so we bundled up and took several back roads before ending up in Social Circle, Ga (named because of the well in the middle of town that folks used to gather around to socialize... kinda like a 19th century Facebook).
Or favorite eating spot called Hot Rods featuring fifties music and food (they make real ice cream sodas... not floats but sodas) was closed. Not too good on a holiday. There were about twenty motorcycles in the parking lot with everyone looking hungry.
Headed back north and found another place in Monroe, Ga called the Cotton Cafe. Nice relaxing place with good food.
The headed westward into the setting sun towards home.
Penny and Rick have owned many motorcycles starting in 1974 with Honda’s, then to Suzukis, Gold Wings and ultimately Spyders.

I have an annual thing I do every year on January 1st. I start the year out right and shoot a firearm. Since I've moved to NW Georgia, I don't have to drive to a shooting range. So, I stepped out side and shot a round with my Glock 42.

Rode my Spyder with 50 other HOGS and a GW Trike to great BBQ in Hiram, GA. 100 mile round trip. super ride. Spyder sure is the best in chilly/cold wx. Did 180 miles on 12-31 to have lunch with friend of 40 years - time sure flies when you're havin fun.
Just over 51,000 miles of smiles in 3 years. "Big Red Bug" is doing well. despite repeated P0174 codes. After many many months, new dealer promises a solution at 53,000 mile (next9x00 mi inspection.)
