At the last Spyderfest 'R; diamond had a new thing they were selling. It was a the black panel from the back of an RT painted to the color of your sypder and with a couple of LED light strips also. I would check on the main page here for there wed site.

Diamond R only offer 11 items for the Spyder and none of them is a back panel for an RT.
Thanks anyway. Could it have been another vendor?

www.mblinnovations.com sells a custom shorty fender that was designed for me. I love it and there is less road crud on the back of my RT than what I had with the long fender.
Never accept "no" from someone who does not have the authority to say "yes".

I removed the rear fender which is very easy, The lower panel is part of the vertika floor boards but I figure that lower panel could also be painted, I had the dash painted but did not figure in painting anything else.Removing the parts is very easy to do and makes the job easier for the paint shop,

Dress Up RT Backend
Consider the LED American flag available through SquaredAway/ It is about 3" x 5" and looks great.

Your RT looks sharp. I'm considering getting my rear fender painted. Could you tell me what is involved in taking the rear fender off?

Some great ideas on here.
I would add, all kinds of LED strip set ups/design your own. Extra brake light, Tricled and other SL sponsors.
Flags, ICSC and Rivco have flag mounts for 9x11 and 11x14 (I think) flags, Parades special occassions, add a mount for a 3 foot by 5 foot Flag .
Have fun.

Hi COHOFF;
I do not recall exactly but the fender is just attached by a few screws and came off real easy and remove the licence plate lite. My memory isnt what it once was now 76, but I do remember it was an easy job but it was 2 years ago that I did it .

Thank you for the info. I can relate to the memory.

To remove the back fender, you will need to open the back trunk and the two rear saddle bags.
there are a total of 8 screws holding the top rear trim, four in the trunk (top outside edge) and 2 each side in the side saddle bags(top rear in the saddle bag)
then there are 9 screws holding the rear bumper, three are under the rear latch handle that are facing down (you will see once you remove the rear top trim) , then there are 2 inside the rear saddle bags just behind the struts on each side and there is one each side on the bottom flange of the bumper (to get theses you come in from the tire), Then the plate light you just unplug and it should just come off.
if you have any questions you can pm me

Thanks, Willie:
Fender is off and on it's way to be painted to match. It is my Christmas present to myself.
But the Spyder looks kinda tough looking without it.

Give Diamond R a call. They were working on a fender color matched to bike with additional lights.
They advertise on te front page.

I thought about color matching the back end to the rest of the Spyder but there isn't a paint that will adhere easily to the pebbled finish.
Some chrome strips dress it up a bit but has anyone successfully done anything to improve the looks of the back end?

Double Trouble your welcome happy it worked out for you.
