We were up to Overton NV on Sunday, got to see the Lost City Museum. Riding through the Lake Mead National Recreation Area is great.

it's in the mid to high sixties here in Northern California. the sky is a beautiful blue. There is no wind and the Big Dawg is calling me. I am heading out for a 100 mile circuit. I understand your sadness, it has been raining up here for three weeks. I will ryde a mile for all my fellow Spyder Lovers in the hope that knowing that someone is ryding makes the downtime less painful

We were blessed here in the Northeast with a beautiful day for late December. Woke Phoenix up early from his winter nap to go have some fun. Just got back from a couple of hours "just going around the block!"

So yes, I guess you could say I'm still riding. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice before Winter resumes Sunday night into Monday.

Great day for ryding in NC. The temps were in the upper 50's. Saw two other Spyders out and about.
We rode to Morrow Mountain State Park, dozens of bikes were there.
Logged 137 miles today and will most likely do more tomorrow as the temps will be in the 60's.
Got to get out and take advantage of these good days while we have them. Mother Nature is likely to take us back to reality soon. January, in past years, has given us 0 degree days and up to 12 inches of snow.

If the weather looks as good tomorrow as it did today...

...we'll break out the bike, so that the Missus can try out one of her presents.

A ride will DEFINITELY be breaking out today!
It's going to claw it's way up into the mid-forties, and the roads have been pronounced, "Clean enough".
I know that all of you folks in the warmer parts of the World are thinking, "So what?"
This late in the year up here; a chance to ride is a very BIG deal!

We only turned 40 miles today; all of it on local, well-known roads...

...But it's the latest in the year that we've ever ridden...

    And it felt AWESOME!!

Rode to lunch today 20 miles one way 73 miles round trip. The morning started in the upper 20's and quickly rose up to the low to mid 50's.
Cooler with rain showers on Sunday then it looks like reallity will set in next week.
I was supposed to be in Quebec riding our snowmobiles this weekend and early next week! Cancelled! The rain wiped out almost everything even that far north.

rode about 150 miles today. Started cool, but warmed into the mid 50's. Still learning how to corner aggressively. The Bajaron stabilizer bar was worth every penny. The knee draggers I often ride with are gonna have their hand full!

Did about 60 - 70 miles today. Stopped to check out a new cycle shop that opened in the area. While talking to one of the sales guys he said a Slingshot stopped in earlier in the day. Always a day late and a dollar short!

Near fifty today in Trumbull CT, broke the bug loose from hibernation and the wife and I headed north on Rt 8 to the town of "Grinch" Great Barrington Ma. (Town frowns on Christmas decorations). Had lunch and returned via Rt 7.

Yellow Spyder sighting at 3:00 on Rt 7 in Lime Rock.

About 250 mi. for the day.

I know what your saying Bob. Get your rydes in whenever you get a good day. We sold our house in Johnson City, NY and moved to NC in January, 1979. Never looked back or had any regrets. We've lived in Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. North Carolina is by far our favorite, with Virginia Beach coming in at a close second.

We were able to do another 170 miles today. We rode up to Siler City and took in the sights. I turned to come back about 30 miles outside of Raleigh. It chills off quickly once the sun starts to go down.

We passed three different motorcycle groups heading in the opposite direction, a total of 4 Spyders in the three groups. They are becoming a more common site around here, and totally accepted.

I took my Spyder out of hibernation yesterday for about 50 miles and today over 100 miles. Today started around 30 and the day ended around 56. Some really nice riding. Will put Spyder back to bed tomorrow.
