Battery Tender is the brand that many prefer of trickle chargers. The charging system on most motorcycles and SpYders (except the 1330) really don't do a good job of recharging the battery. Trickle chargers keep your battery at its optimum charge without overcharging when you aren't riding.

A quick disconnect is attached to the battery so you can easily plug in the battery tender.

I am looking at another ride in a couple hours or so. Near 40 degrees (above zero) today and cloudy--but no rain so far. Going to take advantage of the unseasonable warmer weather while I can.

Not quite "today," but we rode to meet the other KC Spyder Ryders for dinner last night. My wife and I were the only ones who rode our Spyders — it was 27°F! Fortunately, the restaurant was only 13 miles from our house. Thanks to nice ski bibs, we stayed warm and it was actually a fun ride.

Default What did you do on or to your Spyder today..........

Please elaborate why a battery tender doesn't do a good job on the 1330? What does the motor have to do with the battery?

I don't recall who said that "battery tenders don't do a good job on the 1330"...
They just might not be as necessary as they are for the 998s; the 1200 watt alternators seem to doing a great job!
But... if you store your bike for Months at a time; they most likely are a good idea anyway.

Yesterday I rode it in a Veterans Day parade and then spent the rest of the day riding around taking a long time to do a few errands.

Was riding basically from 8am to 5pm. The weather was BEAUTIFUL.

Today no riding at all...had to take my daughter to a doctors appointment.

I got with a friend of mine and we did a 200 mile trip down to Fayetteville, and then over Goldsboro. While in Goldsboro, we stopped by the dealership that kept me hanging for 10 days to finally tell me that they couldn't work a deal for me on a 2014 RT. I just wanted to check out what they had in stock, and let them see that I did get a spyder after all. Another good thing about today was that I visited 2 job sites that I did drawings for, therefore, I can write off the milage as a business expense. Today the temps were in the upper 70's. Starting tomorrow it should range from the 40's to the 50's.

The riding today was supracalafragilisticexpealadoucious. Temps ranged from 44 at home to 57 out in the Butte (rural Palmer). Cloudy, but who cares. I am working on my all time "late in the season" record for Alaska. Best since I moved here in 2001. 100 miles Monday and another 100 today.
