    So earlier this evening...

I live about 20k (12mi) from the nearest town on a mostly curvy road. I was about 1/2 mile from home and decided to slow down a bit cuz there are deer out and about. Well at that moment mr. rabbit bounded out as I was rounding a turn. I swerved but so did he. Unfortunately, or fortunately, got him with the right front wheel. Just a little thump. Appears to be no damage. I did go back to see if he was alive and to remove him from the road, he was dead centre in the road, pun intended.

The last time I hit a rabbit was on over 35 years ago. I was on a Honda CB500, on a dirt road on my way to a friends wedding. Rabbit survived, bike ended up in ditch, no damage but I attended the wedding with somewhat less than clean clothes and a story to tell.

Another reason I love my .

Ha, that's funny..... I think an armadillo would be not good to hit! Hit one in a car once and it blew my tire!

Also ever eaten a California Jack Rabbit?
Trust me, it doesn't taste like chicken!
And I love Rabbit eatin when they are good.

Maybe Nova Scotia rabbit is like cotton tails and yummie?

Years ago I was drinking way too much. I woke up and couldn't find my car. Wife informed me a friend drove me home. Sad thing about this story is the fact that it is true. For the most part I've mended my ways.

What fun is that? But trust, I would never drink even a single drop and ride EVER!

Our rabbits are very yummy. One of the traditional meals at Christmas is rabbit pie. Mmmmm. I've never seen a real armadillo, but pretty sure I don't want to run one of those armored critters over.

Back in 2004 I was at Daytona Bike Week driving a rental car. Just off Main St. I hit an armadillo and it totalled the steering on the car! Luckily the rental company was nearby and came over in 20 minutes with another car. The guy couldn't believe that it was just an armadillo until I showed him the dead animal! It was quite large.

Oh crap! And I have eaten Armadillo before! It was like 30 years ago but I did have a go... Wasn't road kill though... Some damn odd restaurant in Texas.
Yes it tasted like chicken but gamey.... It probably tastes like dinosaur had we ever had the chance to taste one
    But birds are dinosaurs anyway......

I will try and eat anything at least once if given the opportunity...
    Yes I am a carnivore!

On a "smaller" animal; using the tire for an impact point seems to work about the best...
All of the bodywork, is far more susceptible to damage.
As for rabbit: it DOES taste a lot like chicken, only not quite as tender! .

So far two Jack Rabbits have wanted to see the inner workings of the front suspension. They got a real up close view. The Spyder is wide enough that you cannot safely swerve to miss a rabbit.

Either put tire on them, or aim to have them pass JUST inside one of the tires...
Hopefully; they'll miss the rear tire!

I did that with a "Quill Turtle" once...
I ended up with about 20 quills in the rear tire sidewall!
