For Hoosiers interested in a Slingshot
It seems that Indiana won't allow them to be sold, per a dealer, because the top of the steering wheel is more than 18 inches from the top of the seat. Since it's a motorcycle, the "apehanger" rule applies. Somehow, this doesn't make a lot of sense.
But it may be a salesman pulling my leg.

Sounds like..!!
a fishy story. Ape hanger rules seemed to have changed at least here in CA. You see them riding here where their butts don't reach the seat their hanging so high. I thought they couldn't be higher than your shoulders...go figure.. guess they will have to run them with outta state plates...

As far as I know, they will not be sold in Ontario, Canada either.
Something to do with not complying with the specs for a motorcycle or a car.
As per Ontario, you straddle a motorcycle and it must have handlebars and the passenger sits behind the driver, not beside him.

And Geico will not cover the slingshot, said it has a steering wheel, lol!
