Default It's Firstgear Thermo Time Again!

Every year about this time I offer the Firstgear Thermo 1 piece riding suit. It's warm, it's 100% waterproof, it's well made and it is inexpensive. This suit is designed for you to wear street cloths underneath and is usually good down into the 20's depending on how far you intend to ride. You can also wear full gear under this suit if you like but that may require getting a size larger depending on how bulky your gear is.

I can help you with fit sizing.

I love offering this suit because it is such a great product and people love them.

If you are interested just PM me for price. I get in trouble if I advertise what I sell these for.

I also sell the full line of Firstgear products including heated gear.

    I can ship these worldwide.

    Features:

    • Classic fit: A more tailored fit
    • 100% waterproof, 210 denier Hypertex
    • 120-gram polyester insulation
    • Full storm flap closures on zippers, pockets and cuffs
    • Cargo storage pockets
    • Elasticized ankle closures and adjustable waist
    • 1-year limited warranty

Shout out to that product. It is a quality suit and is very warm. Caution: do not wear it inside, you will sweat!

Here is the link where you can check out all the Firstgear products. Ignore the prices, PM me if you have questions or to price anything you are interested in. No hard sell, just information.

The electric gear is more expensive than the Thermo. But it is the Cadillac way to go in cold weather.

There is something about riding in cold weather and being toasty warm. It's actually very invigorating. There are some very nice days for riding in the fall/winter and spring if you can just defeat the cold.

Lived in San Diego county most of my life. Had some of the coldest rides of my life there. Ride the Laguna Mountains or through Cuyamaca State Park or up to Julian and over to Palomar Mountain in the winter. It's beautiful but I wish I'd had one of these suits back in those days.

There is no armor in the Thermo suit. You can wear it over full armored gear if you like.

There is, however, extremely good armor in the Firstgear TPG Expedition suit. This suit looks similar to the Thermo, but it is much different and higher in price.

It is not insulated. Instead, it is designed to keep all the elements off of you and allows you to add clothing underneath. Since it does keep the elements off of you, it isn't necessary to wear a lot underneath to stay warm in very cold weather.

I can save you quite a bit on this suit.

Actually it does fit as the hood loosens off a lot, looks weird but works. However that coat isn't waterproof as it doesn't need to be as the ice never gets warm enough to melt. Of course with the normal mode of transport a helmet is not required:-)

Firstgear heated is made by my friends over at Warmnsafe and it is the best there is. Buy the Firstgear electric stuff and you will not be sorry with the purchase.

    Combine that with Ron's prices...and wow....such a deal! . Wish I needed more......

Very true. I sell this gear so I understand that people wonder when you tell them it's good stuff. But the Warm&Safe really is great. You can dial your temps with the heated gear.

"If you are interested just PM me for price."

I'm a total tech noob. How do you do that (i.e., PM you)? I don't even text on my (admittedly rather basic) cell phone. Via cell phone or through the website?

Should have said "via the web site" as you did give that option:-) I just use my phone for phone calls, unusual I know but saves a lot of frustration:-)

As was mentioned, just click on the persons Spyderlover name located above the corresponding avatar (picture). In my case this would be BajaRon .

Clicking on the name produces a drop down menu and one of the options is 'Private Message' or 'PM' in Web Lingo.

You will get a text box and you can enter your message and send it to the recipient like an email without having to post in the normal way which everyone would see.
