Fall Foliage in New England is here

Here is a suggested Route for Fall foliage riding in New England:

Route 302( from Barre, VT) East to Route 5 to Woodsville, New Hampshire,

to Route 135( has a some awesome twists) North to Littleton, New Hampshire( Route 18/135). Very nice colors, awesome views. Route 135 is smooth part of the way. Deanna

Enjoy folks. Had a chance to view the New England fall foliage in upper NY state, NH, CN and VT etc. in 1997. Great colors and fantastic variety. Please post some pictures of New England rides--they are worth passing around.

We're just getting the beginnings of some color. I took some rides out in the countryside yesterday & today and it looks like maybe ten days to two weeks until the colors will peak.

Come on guys....At one time the most scenic highway in the US. Albany to Plattsburgh. Miss it up there this time of the year thru Thanksgiving.

Enjoy the colors but be very careful of the leaves on the ground especially early morning dew or after a drizzle. They can be treacherous...

You guys are always a week or ten days behind us up here closer to Lake Erie. But then again your Springtime is always ten days to two weeks ahead of ours. Things have a way of balancing out I guess.

I will post some fall pictures this week on this site. In New Hampshire it is all most peak. Deanna

I was up in Conway yesterday and I'd say peak is about a week away South of the Notches. I didn't get North of the Kank, but it's still got a few more days to go thru there.

I agree that is a beautiful Ryde. Grew up in East Barre and Groton. Great scenery.

Yesterday was an other gorgeous day for fall foliage. Today, up here is raining Their is some color left. I would say that Fall Foliage is @ the Peak. Deanna

I went to work early this morning to get some overtime hours in. On my return trip home, I took the scenic route. From Burlington I headed toward the Mount Mansfield area on rt 15 through Jerico and Underhill. The colors are still good out there, but are reaching peak in the higher elevations. It was cloudy and overcast this morning and is now raining. It's just a sign of times to start changing soon. We have to enjoy the rides while we can up here.

Don't get me wrong, but the fall color changes are beautiful but they also remind me that colder weather is not too far behind.

The colors in central vt. are still good, I would say that this week is peak foliage. It is raining here also. I put up my spyder for winter storage, I hope we have a very short winter, I hope we some snow before the holidays, so people that have snowmobiles can enjoy them. Then right in to spring. Wish full thinking Deanna
