Pain in my hands..

Ive own my Spyder for about 6mth and I am experiencing alot of pain in my hands. This happens at a speed of 70mph or higher. My hands go numb and the throbbing from the vibration is very painful. I changed my hand grips but nothing helps. Any suggestions...

A good set of antivibration riding gloves will help.

The angle of your hand/wrist to the bar may be the cause. Try one of thee new handlebars that adjusts that angle. I would check with dealer to see if you can see or try one out as installed on another model before buying. But people out there with the variable angle handlebar- please comment!

I would have the front tires balanced and the drive belt tension checked

Some people have had success with Shock Tec Gloves or stay under 70 lol

Hope you find a cure , numb hands are awfull on a bike , I used to suffer a lot back in the day on GSXRs and Fireblades etc.

I have put on grip buddies. It helped a lot and makes it easier to grip.

hand/wrist position on the bars. You need to get this addressed asap as it could develop
into Reynauds Syndrome and that is a difficult thing to get shot of. I had it 30 years back and
it wasn't fun!

I have a $10 wrist rest (xtra wide) on my throttle, and a grip puppy on the other side - that combo just works for me. Then there's cruise control for the long haul...

......Someone makes a NEOPRENE COVER for the grips .....and it's not GRIP PUPPIES that I'm referring to.......These are made from the same stuff WET SUITS are made from and are smooth.....I have something similar and love them....really reduces vibration.....I think I saw them on E-Bay Spyder products ......Mikeguyver

The next step for me would be what Eagle1 stated. A good pair of gloves with gel inserts in the palm. Harley makes my favorite.

If the above doesn't help your hands, you can put weights in the handlebars. It helps deaden the vibration. Can't remember the company that makes them, maybe someone knows who they are.

I'll go out on the limb here and say see your doctor. I'm not saying that because I'm trying to be a wise a$$; but, it sounds like you are having excruciating pain and not just simple numbness.

As far as I know, Raynaud's Syndrome is related to cold weather or when someone is under stress. At least that's what the medical texts from school say, that I still have. I also stayed at the Holiday Inn last night; so, you can take what I say with a grain of salt.

can't say my hands hurt, but they did get some numbness. switched grips out for iso grips and no longer have the problem. also had alignment and have the smoothspyder belt tensioner! no vibes now. even done 500 mile days.

I had something similar going on with my right hand . . . I had some old SCUBA wet suit material (closed cell neoprene) and made a set of grips from it . . . the problem has never reoccurred.

I bought a pair of thick foam grip covers from TricLED - one of our supporting vendors. I love these things. (Scroll half way down on this link.)

However, I agree with those who suggested checking the balance on the front tires.

I had the same problem. I fixed it with a pair of Cramp Busters. Only $8.00 each.

What's the vibration your getting. That should be the first problem addressed. I get a little belt vibration.
Not significant. Can run 100 plus no vibration. Keep a lite grip

I'VE HAD THAT VIBRATION ISSUE ALL MY LIFE, AND HAVE FOUND THAT GRIP PUPPIES AND BIONIC M/C GLOVES SOLVE THE PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK WITH IT.
