Still have the original battery in Spyder #006, that would be a 2008 GS model delivered in late 2007. No drop in performance as of yet. Gets hooked up to the Optimate charger once per month during the winter, nothing special. Stored in climate controlled shop, always ridden hard and put away wet!

Have two mid 2009 RS's, one 11,000 miles, other 15,000. Original batteries, both on Battery Tender 24/7 when not riding. Ride 85% highway, all Winter,no snow.

Additional: I have never replaced a battery in any of my 's. Had I not bought the 2014, I was going to replace the battery on the 2010 because it was four years old and had 36,500 miles on it.
When batteries give up the ghost they tend to do it without warning. I could just see myself 250 miles from home base and the 2010 battery going out while I am on the road. Just the kind of luck I have sometimes. The new owner can now make that decision.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
Previously : 2008 GS-SM5 (silver), 2009 RS-SE5 (red), 2010 RT-S Premier Editon #474 (black) 2011 RT A&C SE5 (magnesium) 2014 RTS-SE6 (yellow)
MY FINAL TALLY: 7 Spyders, 15 years, 205,500 miles
IT HAS BEEN A LONG, WONDERFUL, AND FUN RIDE.

Good to hear but I'd have a battery replace before any long trips , very little warning sometimes

08 GS bought 11/08 replaced battery last month. It was still working, but I decided to replace it, because I'm taking a trip to the mountains in November and figured I had better go ahead and change it. I hope I get the same from the replacement battery.
