New Airflow panels for 2013 ST-S
A very nicely worded email to BRP care advising of the heat to the right leg and asking when they were going to be made available in pure magnesium is all it took for the new panels to be made available and installed as a good will jester by BRP. I had to wait about three months but in the end after a few follow up emails they were amazing with the customer care. Just had them installed by dealer and notice the difference already.....very happy spyder owner.....

Great news. I told my wife that she needs to do the same for her STL. She finds it a little hot but she says that she can put up with it. I was going to buy the new panels but if they are replacing them under warranty it is time to make the call.

Would you mind sharing your letter? I'm dealing with BRP Care at the first step of the process to do the same. In conjunction with the new NTHS investigation I'm hoping to get some new panels myself!
Thanks,
Jon

BRP NZ
I'm dealing with them too, they have given me a case number and advised me to visit my selling dealer so they can confirm that it is "running hotter than normal". It's winter at the moment here so the spyder is running cooler, but still hot around the gas cap, maybe I'll wait until it goes up in flames.

Great..!!
you are fortunate but I do think they are trying to help out. It will not be soon enough for many but I hope they keep getting them out there to those needing them..

I have it on my work email and deleted it already. But I stated that the heat on the right side panels was almost unbearable to place my leg against that area was very uncomfortable. I then asked them when they were going to make the new panels in the 2013 colors and that I was several hours drive away from my dealer. After a few follow up emails asking them the status of my original request I got a phone call from BRP care stating that the new panels were going to be installed by my dealer.

Got my 2014 panels for free as well, BRP Care didn't put up much of a fight, took 2-1/2 weeks from start to end and the dealership is installing them this Thursday

My wife sent her letter to BRP Care last night. Now let's see how long it takes them to get back to us and change her panels.

My wife sent an email last night to BRP Care and Steve M. sent us an email back this afternoon with our case number and told us to contact our dealer if they don't call us this week. I have to say that they sure are on the ball. That was a very quick response.

Speed up the process and just call your dealer with the case #. I waited and my dealer never recieved the case # until I gave it too them.

I'm going on six weeks now and still have not heard from BRP. Well, I guess I did hear something. After trying to contact BRP for over three weeks, three weeks ago Steve sent me this:
"Hello Craniac,
I've assigned your case to a senior rep and they will be the one getting back to you regarding your ST.
Thank you,
Steve"
Still no contact. The crickets are getting loud.

I am so excited that BRP is stepping up to work with the 2013 ST riders...but there are several 2012 RS's that have major heat problems....come'on BRP do the right thing.....

me too
After feeling(OUCH) then hearing and reading all of the heat problems of the ST-S I too sent BRP an email yesterday. After riding this summer my '13 sure feels hotter than it ever has! Lets see how long it takes to get a response. BTW -did all of you who contacted BRP send your emails to the complaint dept.?
-
I just sent an email directly to brp.care@brp.com
