Default Simplest, low cost black exhaust options

    Hey all-

I tried a search but couldnt quite get the answer I was looking for. Moderators can delete this in a few days to clear out clutter. I have a 2012 RS-S and I would like a slightly louder, less goofy looking exhaust. Performance is not my main factor - this thing screams in my opinion. I just do not catre for the giaant exhaust that comes stock and mine has a few blemishes. I would prefer:

    black/carbon fiber
    deeper/louder than stock
not to have to install an intake or fuel management system - just a simple slip on
    Less than $600 if possible.

What are my best options - if any?

FYI...I was leaning towards this one just because it is not expensive and I like the look http://www.ebay.com/itm/Can-Am-New-O...c20c39&vxp=mtr

    Will that fit my 2012?

The hindle will fit your spyder, but probably not the best choice. The rivets on the heat shield are notorious for coming loose and letting the heat shield rattle like crazy, mine has a couple of times and I just beat on the rivets til it tightens up again. the baffle also came loose, but I just took that out. sounds great, but for the price there are definitely other options. HMF, spyderattitude, RLS punisher, and I'm sure others will chime in with more options.

go onto you tube and check all the pipes out there with sound clips. As for the controlers if you don't go with the competition types you will be fine...

I just don't dig single sided twin exhausts.....They remind me to much of all the 1990's "custom" bikes people were trying to do....

    Default VooDoo dual exhaust

I just installed a VooDoo dual exhaust on my 2014 RSS. I am very satisfied.!! After I removed the stock exhaust the install was a breeze and fitment was perfect..and the sound....just perfect for me. I took some time to view other exhausts and for me the look, sound, price of the VooDoo was hands down the best choice.

I I used several muffler combos on my 2014 rt and they all was way too loud. What I now run is a stainless steel magnaflow xl. It's 7" round, body is 24" and overall 30". It has a 2.25" single inlet with dual 2" outlets. Nice low tone and only slightly louder than the stock. I love it. Can't hardly hear it from drivers seat at hi way speeds but around town it has that expensive sport car tone.

    Default PIPES

I did something so simple and it works great,
Take of the slip on pipe attached to your muffler
with the muffler attached, go to your local muffler
shop and have him /or her as the case may be, show
you what they have in glass or steel packs the size you want
I went with a Cherry Bomb muffler that was red, after he
welded a chrome tip on it and made the other end fit my slip
on pipe I took it home and painted it black with spray paint
from Home Depot made for painting BBQ's it don't burn off
looks great and sounds great... total cost $86.27
Give that a shot you don't have much to loose. I love to save $$$$

Does replacing the exhaust with something like that HMF require a reflash or anything? One of the links above says it requires a controller?

No controller required. Release throttle completely when down shifting to eliminate exhaust pop.
