As I recall,
Jay Leno got #001.
BRP Museum in Valcourt got #002.
Jose Boisjoli (president and CEO of BRP) got #003.
The two BRP engineers with their names (Bruno Bedard & Dany Duvall) on the Spyder patent got #004 & #005.
I have #006 - was the first one to offer down payment at product intro in January 2007.
Also had #659. Put 33,000 miles on #659, have almost 34,000 miles on #006. Both were/are exceptional except for DPS recall. No problems really, had squeaky brakes way back, right now works very well.
2021 RT Limited - Deep Marsala Red – 4,200 miles
2013 ST-S SE-5 - Circuit Yellow – 56,000 miles
2015 F3-S SM-6 - Can-Am Red Solid Gloss – 2,000 miles - SOLD
2008 GS SM-5 Premier Edition #659 - Full Moon – 34,000 miles - SOLD
2008 GS SM-5 Premier Edition #006 - Full Moon – 34,800 miles - SOLD

34K
34K miles on 2011 RTS SM5. Loads of fun, been from Maine to Alaska and down to MS, around all the Great Lakes, and more. Problems galore -- four water pump shaft seals (last replacement BRP said do the entire -- entire -- cooling system and clutch cover housing (clutch cover housing was actually replaced twice)), two turn signal switches (still doesn't work correctly), one windshield strut failure (600 mi from home), one failed clutch slave cylinder, two O2 sensors, dried out and leaking MAP sensor tubing, radio replaced for water intrusion, oil pressure sensor replaced, probably something else I forgot. Still riding -- just came back from Maine, shortly heading that way again for Nova Scotia, PEI and over to the Magdelan Islands.

This thread was started asking who has the oldest Spyder. PE Number 6.jpg
So I ask, where are all of the OLDEST original 2008 GS Spyders, like the first 100? Or first 1000 for that matter?
Are they all sitting in storage? There have to be some of the first 100 units still getting ridden hard, are there not? Are the owners just not active on this forum? WTF?
It is RARE for me to ever see a 2008 Premier Edition with a serial number below 100, let alone below 1000.
So if by "OLDEST" we are talking lowest serial number of 2008s, step up everyone. Where are the first 100? There has to be more than just one of us on here?

There we go. Captain Jim and I both kept a 2008 GS while we also have a 2013 ST. I too am glad I kept one of my 2008s, they are still VERY fun to ride. Quicker, faster, better handling, still a complete and total riot to ride. The 2013 sits the rider more upright and is more comfortable, but I admit the 2008, with all of the updates, is solid. I would not hesitate to take it across the country right now today. Wish I could.
To that end, I constantly watch craigslist to see when someone is unloading a 2008 with low miles. If you act fast you can pick one up at a great price, IMO. They are out there and they do come up for sale, sometimes they have been sitting and the owner just wants to get some equity out of it, so they will let it go cheap. They've been going for less in Wisconsin than they have been in Minnesota, one just has to watch.
And thanks to the rest of you Premier Edition owners for stepping up and being heard! We know there are more out there........
