Loved all the books in the "Dune" series, but found the 1984 movie very slow . . . it was a shame, because there was so much to work with, it could have been a great series of movies.

I've always been a fan of Dune and I have copies of both versions of the movie. The SyFy channel made a decent version that played more on the political side of the story. I even have a Boris Vallejo version of a crysknife.

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......

I loved all the books - the movies - not so much.

Wow, I didn't know there were all these Dune fanatics in the world. I also own both copies. The 1984 version was on yesterday. I've watched it so much my wife knows the dialog . lol

I found the Dune books when I was in college. To this day, I still think of the "Litany Against Fear" when I'm about to try something new.
